    Default Pachinko Lamp

Still at the good LT's moving machines.. swaping cabinets.. and making general repairs

during all this swaping and set up work he pulled these lights out and asked me to hook them up..

I know others have asked about lights before

these are amazing lights.. a little mordern but i like that.. wanted to
    share..

we did mount them a bit off center and swing them over.. cause we thought they stuck a out a bit far.. they were easy to adjust... for mounting I tosed the hardwear kit and driled holes threw the mounting box.. then screwed them straight to the frame...

hear is a Link to them.. he only pd 27 dollers in store..

Kinda Yes and No. They are really two very different machines. They play alot different and it took alot of pachi hunting to find them.

For those that have played both of them they know what I mean. The Thunderbird pays of alot more than the Little Man.

About the time I really get to going on the Little Man the ball drops down the center jackpot slot and all the tulips open at once and the next ball on the way up falls in the Joker and wham they all close.

I again say I have been awfully lucky and when I first posted about a powerflash in the old posts ( I would like to buy a powerflash ) it turned out that one came up on ebay and when all the bidding was done it sold to a member for $1057 dollars.

Their are alot more powerflashs out their. I personally know of two that are just boxed and being stored in peoples homes for memories. That is a shame and I hope one day they will sell so someone else will enjoy.

I am retired and have the time to pachi hunt and go pick up ( no chance of damage in shipping, like I have had with other machines).

If I ever find another while pachi hunting my son needs a nice one and I have meant alot of nice people on pachi talk and also know some people I would pick one up and sell it to them for the exact price I paid. I am not in this for the money I do consider myself a collector.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO EVERYONE AT PACHITALK.

Very nice. I like the cabinets, too. I don't suppose you have the plans for making them? I'm sure I could replicate based on the photos... Anyway, thanks for sharing!

Beautiful cabinets! I've got my two PFs side by side on a table and they look great but your cabinets are a perfect finishing touch. Nice job!
LT is right about PF's still being out there. I've owned 6 total ( I know, I know- so save your hatemail since being a member on here. It takes diligent searching and I've had to pay somewhat more than what a typical vintage goes for-for a few of them but if you want something sometimes you just gotta pay. I've since given 2 away and 2 are in line to be cleaned, etc. I'd say I see one for sale every 5 weeks or so.

my plans are really in my head... there build to fit the pachinko each time... for thouse that have several machines u will know that in the vintage machines the frames do vary quite a bit.. so for me to post hard and fast measurments is a bit unrealistic...

check out my thread on cabinets and see what u think.. if u have any questions please do not hesatate to ask...

    http://www.pachitalk.com/forums/pach...o-cabinet.html

I have made one change to the drop tube.. i make them out of cloth so there adjustable and easy to fit to each machine..

At very good prices as well. That crazy member who paid over $1k must be jealous...

I have the same lamp on a vintage Nishijin. I mounted mine on the back of the cabinet so it did not stick out so far.

    Cool Re: Pachinko Lamp

Gorgeous cabinets. I like the finish. What did you use? And what kind of wood?

Mopar, I never thought of a cloth drop tube. That's an excellent idea. I have wooden basins behind the wall on each of my machines that empty into the top hopper, and I use a short piece of plastic tubing. It works ok, but on occasion it will jam and require the player to smack the wall above the machine to knock the balls loose again.

How do you make the cloth tubes? Do you have photos?

no pics really... Captain Teddy (the good LT wife) she made them for me out of old denim she had... i gave her the diameater and she stiched them up for me...

i have a cabinet that was the prototype and the original wood blocks were bigger then later models.. so i used the top of and old tube sock for that one... seems to be working just fine so far...

one thing to keep in mind.. when u cut cloth it unravels.. so make sure u attent to any loose threads befor they find there way into your machines..
