Yum Cheese Cake !!

We usually celebrate quietly at home...as old folks do

I make a nice finger buffet... Shrimp cocktail on ice, fancy crackers with assorted dips and cheeses, Apricot glazed Brie en croute and a fruit and pound cake tray with chocolate fondue. No Champagne here... just a few tall Kahlua w/Creams to drink in the New Year.

My one daughter is going to a sleepover and my other daughter is hosting one. My son has found a party to go to. All in all..it should be a pretty tame evening. Just the way I like it.

Afternoon

4-50pm and 37 degrees here, although along the coast the wind chill factor means it's ruddy freezing!! My toes and fingers froze out on Scarborough beach this morning

As for New Years Eve, it will be a relatively quiet one at home, unless any unexpected guests turn up, probably finger food here and a few glasses of wine, and maybe I will persuade my daughter to get the Beatles Rock band out...

going to start a bon fire to clean up the storm damage from a few weeks back.. then take it easy... in bed by 10 or so... but im sure the gun shots will wake us at midnight... redneck centeral hear..

Beatles Rock Band ROCKS! My son got LIPS for Xbox360... also a very cool karaoke game. No instruments...just lips!

Good Morning Pachitalk! our temps here finally made it to 40 degrees finally feels like winter who knows maybe we could get some snow this winter? anything is possible in sunny Florida.

Good Evening!!

5-20pm dark and rainy in Hornsea, went to Bridlington earlier today and it seemed a bit milder, but footpaths were very icy in places, had to save my little boy a couple of times as he almost hit the floor!!

He is disappointed the snow has gone, though we had been forecast light snow showers for a couple of days

Good Morning Pachtalk I wanted to thank everyone for posting daily, we have been averaging around 44 posts a day.( thats 44 members posting) that is pretty good. Now if we could get some of our Guests to join up and start posting we would be able to come closer to our goal of 72. Keep up the good work!! BTW its cold in sunny Florida!!
