Default marilyn keeps giving an error signal

    hey guys

I am getting an error with the hi/low alarm, every 15 minutes or so of play.

the lights dim down to just a few of the pockets blinking and the center goes dark.

if I unplug to reset (didn't see a reset button on this one), it plays fine.

wondering if there's a bad or dirty sensor somewhere? there hasn't been a ball jam when this happened (at least since when I first got it with jackpotting too much due to pulled nails).

anyone else had this problem on this type nishijin? it's sort of a C with motors and solenoids.

thanks jeff. did you find the culprit sensor on yours?

it may be that a couple times it was b/c I was tired of lifting balls, and I just let the fever round play out (which is alarm-able, I guess)

I cleaned the sensors like Compirate suggested and have not heard the sirens since.

    hey jeff.

where were the culprit sensors? I was only able to clean the ones from the front, at the base of each pocket and inside the center piece and in the corners above marilyn.

are there more of them lower? I was hoping not to have to take the whole back off the machine.

also, I think that as long as I play the fever rounds, it doesn't alarm now. it hasn't gone off in awhile.

the alarm in older machines is either a signal someone has cheated or that there is an error of some kind - shooter not shooting, ball jam, etc...(in other words, something must be wrong, why wouldn't someone play out a bonus? ). It can't be because your out of balls (unless the machine ran out for some reason), because you should have won plenty to keep you going during the bonus.
