Default Machine straight from Japan - Mods for US outlet?

I may be bidding through Rinkya.com on a pachinko machine which is listed as 'ready to use in any japanese home outlet'. What modifications will I need to do to make it work in a US outlet, or, is there some sort of converter I can simply buy and plug the cord into for use in a US outlet. I need help!

Japanese outlet are rated 100 volts, in USA outlet are 110 volt to 120 volt.

You can buy a converter which can convert 100v to 100v but they are usually expensive.

If it is a modern pachinko (with turning knob) this pachinko need internally 24 volt AC.

so what people here usually do most of the time is buy a transformer which convert 110volts ac to 24 volts ac. and replace the one that come with the machine (this one is 100v ac to 24 volts ac)

It's not really complicate to connect, but may need a bit more work because you will have to detach the current transformer, and replace with your new one, and attach the cables together. We can surely help you do it if plan to do it this way.

An other question... did you contacted Rinkya.com to know if they ship pachinkos?? many of these sites don't ship such big items.

Yes, be very careful - they might ship it, but could easily have cause to charge you $100 penalty fee ("we don't ship arcade game cabinets" says their Q&A). At the least, the machine has a glass front, which they also advise they don't ship, and will charge you for if you buy one from Yahoo.

Side note: Rinkya are *very expensive* IMHO. Tread carefully, and make sure you *really* want that item.
There is always another machine around the corner...

Is there a bidding service that is better? I used Rinkya once and I never really researched into other bidding services!

This is the service to use. VERY reliable and trusted by the Pachi community.
You tell him what to bid on and how much to bid and he does the rest.
