Default Here's a story about a man named Milt, he's from Stealth

A few weeks ago I ordered a machines from:

    Stealth Home Amusement
    Milt Cohen
    1150 University Ave
    Building #5
    Rochester, NY 14607
    888-798-1761 (Toll-Free), 585-271-3844 (Office), (demos@rochester.rr.com) E-mail
    www.stealthhomeamusement.com, www.planethollyweb.com

The machine came pretty hard handled by Fedex.
I inventoried the damage; cracked box, hopper floating loose, reels loose, panels off.

I email Milt and he got back to me in a few hours. He offered to do a pickup tag and refund. Well you know me, I preferred to do all repairs myself, I get the case all fixed. I reframed the box glued the crack, held with clamps for 48 hours. I cleaned up everything and plugged it in.

Dead, I checked the cord, it had juice, I checked the power supply, deader than a door nail.

Milt sent me out a replacement power supply right away. Got it two days, replaced the power supply, pulled the reels and replaced all bulbs, reset reel rake and fine tuned it for quiet run.

I realize I didn't have to do all this, and that Milt was more than willing to pick it up and refund or replace with comp. But I liked the machine, and now it is better than new.

The point here is that it would have been really cheaper for Milt to recall, I wanted to repair and give this poor machine life. So he worked with me. No bone yard for it.

Moral of this story, where ever you buy from, make sure they have a good rep. for service after the sale.

same thing here i bought a BEAST SAPP from milt and low and behold fedex's great handling, they had to of drop this machine on its face the real spin stick was busted out. milt wanted me to ship it back but i ask him if i could give it a try to glue the stick back in he said go ahead and try if it dont work he'll send a call tag. well it worked i glued it back in with a stuff called (plastic fuse). i told milt all was ok and he still sent me some tokens for the trouble. milt has been the best person to deal with and he will keep getting my business hands down.

I agree, but I don't live where you live, so by definition the best Pachislo dealer must be the one local to you that gives you great prices and service.

I'm luck enough to have one of those. :-)

Zcore - did you get that new batch of machines yet? :-)

Re-aline the reels so they don't rub anywhere and fine lub spindles.
You would surprised as to how much the reels touch stuff in there, not hard or you would see, but very lightly enough to cause sound.

I use cig paper to see that there is some gap all around, some have a divider between the reels check there too. You can adjust them around with a little mess, and the reels are very quiet.

Ask RandyW, I don't those, before shipping them out.

It seems tank feels that fixing the machines is being like a hillbilly. I would rather try to fix insted of sending it back and waiting for it to get there then waiting for next one to arive only to maybe find it damaged. Just for yor info Tank the break was so clean on the stick that your best eye could not find where i repaired it. also Milt did offer to send a door out to me.

I think he was speaking of the way I titled this thread. Not about the repairing of machines.

no no no !!! i meant the phrasing of the title of this thread.( kinda sounds like the soundtrack for the beverly hillbillys) i ,myself, refuse to allow anybody to fix anything!! the condition of my yard and cars attests to this!!! seriously: i am pretty confident in my ability to fix these machines inside and out and would do the same as you. i've torn armored vehicles down to bare hulls and rebuilt them to as new condition. i spent 12 years of my life doing electronics repair on modern fighters for the gov. and am a master electrician. and on top of that i can slinga roll of duct tape as well or better than the esteemed Red Green!!

Hey, I got three Pachislo Machines from Arby and they were all in great shape, clean, and working excellent. He used a "truck load" of Foam Rubber to protect them, double boxed, and used heavy duty boxes. He wedged the foam on sides of reels so they wouldn't move during shipping.

All three machines have quiet reels, that is, there is no rubbing or scraping at all. One machine is an Olympia Twist and the reels on it are loud when spinning but it's normal, from what I read, that most all the Olympia reels are naturally loud. I do like the Twist machine, theme and music, I'm old, was a kid in the fifties, teenager in sixties!!
Got my first two Pachinko games from Arby too and I love them. Hadn't ever played one until yesterday!! I think (at this point in time) I really like Pachinkos better than the Pachislo machines. But then again I never did like the one armed bandits all that well either. Action on Pachinko is great, I like the fast pace much better than the old American pinball machines I played years ago.

Oh yeah I got off the subject... It would be nice to live close to a major dealer to save on shipping and being able to look at machines before buying one, but it's good to know there are dealers out there who do care enough to package well and ship out a fully working nice clean product, plus offer a good warranty service. I've never purchased anything from Milt but from what I read about him I probably will in the future.

He likes my hero "esteemed Red Green!!". Red has a mind of a steel trap and very quick witted, I meet him in DesMoines a few years back. Very Cool Guy.

He was the one who gave me the joke of the twin "W's" on the checks, so if you Sommersaulting naked it says:

    WoWÂ…Â… MoMÂ…Â… WoWÂ…Â… MoMÂ…Â… WoWÂ…Â…
