Some impressive bidding going on with this machine. Climbed from $150 to $300 in an hour.

I guess this goes to the point of a unique machine will bring the highest price! Even with obvious cell water stains!

You would think that Heiwa would have done that first

Not me. I have never seen the peace sign machine before, but the center jackpot does not seem all that interesting to me. Not that many options to win. Maybe now would be the time to sell a PF if that machine is @ $300.

I think for the 'collector' or effecianoto (how ever you spell it) the machine wouldn't be considered unique or high quality, but then that's not why the price is jumping. (IMHO) In all 'collectibles' be it art or toys or sculptures, the higher value is brought by the piece having multiple interest genres. This machine, I beleive, crosses into several areas of interest. Besides the obvious Pachinko, Japanese and pinball genres it also would be of interest to 'war/peace' collectors, collectors of 'hippy' memoribelia (again ignore the spelling) and for the 60/70 collector as well. I think it's the 'cross over' buyers that have no real understanding of what a 'quality' pachinko machine is and the probably don't care... it's the decorative interest that is driving the price.

    Just my thoughts.

I agree Rusty. Its the "symbolisim" thats probably driving the price on this one.

they can get pretty expensive. I buy vintages locally for no more than $50, restore them, and sell for $300+. this one sold for $380:

matter of fact, i have another nice Sanyo in restoration process right now
This game induces a kind of hypnosis, a strange feeling of happiness. Winning is hardly important. But, time passes. You lose touch with yourself for a while, and merge with a machine and perhaps you forget, what you always wanted to forget.....

Alot of us do the same thing but does this one look restored? It is definitely clean. It goes to show you that there is a market for a clean, quality machine.
