    Default Betty Boop Pachinko

I see that there is a Betty Boop pachinko out there. I'd like to get one for my mother. Has anyone seen this in the U.S. yet?

    Unfortunately, it's another V-pins pattern under-the-screen model. :smt015

Actually that pachinkopro's guy had a bunch last fall. They were selling around $200 at the time. The video while different didn't look that much different than the slot, so I passed on one.

Looks like you will need to contact the 2 or 3 dealers that control the United States market for Pachinkos. Your best bet would seem to be at this point the Texas people as they claim they just recently (as per their Ebay auctions) just bought out the entire inventory of a Pachinko parlor in Japan.

Ohio, that $139 BIN isn't bad for any machine, imho, maybe they're telling the truth : )

Keep in mind Republic Industries in Dallas is the importer.

Unfortunately they don't have a website.

Lucky : They control the marketplace. Why should the prices go down?

Well, if everybody jumps on what they "believe" to be lower prices being passed on, he has no reason to lower them any further, now does he? What makes anyone think this guy is starting off with his best price? If you believe that, you'd also believe that each machine has a "zillion lights", or that it "doesn't get any better" that this one, too! :-P

When you price something, you do it so you can always come down... it's easier to come down in price than to go up, right?

With 500 machines sitting in a warehouse, he's going to want to turn them over. But if they go out for his first price, they will stay at that high price. Look at the King of Animals (Safari) for $149.... they didn't sell for the $189... or the $169, either. Where will they go next?

I don't doubt that he has purchased 500 machines... what I doubt is that he bought out a parlor. Maybe a "parlor's worth".

    Think about that.

They don't "control" this market... WE do... the buyers!
(At least the ones that can show some restraint!)

People are getting used to seeing LOTRs, Popeyes, and even "Twin Tales" going for big bucks, and assume anything less than that is a "good deal".
I think the good deals are still around the corner, that's all.

Let us not foget our own eyesight. When you see the inside of a true parlor. They have almost all of the same machines. So when someone is buying out an "entire parolor' they should have 100 "insert machine name" units to move. Not a bunch of different models.

Looking at all the pictures of inside a hall, they show rows of the same machines and across the row a row of different one. So it looks like there would be many of anyone style (10 to 30). That alot of the same duck to sell.
