Default Number 2 Powerflash (Little Man)

Well just got home with my latest find pachi hunting. I thought my Thunderbird Powerflash was very nice but this one is alot nicer.
I bought it from a couple that were the only owners and had bought it in 1974 or 1975. With no kids it does not look like it was hardly played.

Awesome machine - looks like your PF collection is top notch now! Are all the solenoids good? Looks like they would be almost new.

Well to tell you the truth of the matter of the seloinds is going to be Mopar to the rescue. I do not know if the powerflash works or not. It does need some wiring on the back side so I will have to wait on Mopar getting here on the 16th. The man told me that he bought it from the store that was selling them and they never told him about the powerflash. The electric cord comes out of the middle and had been cut off and tied with the end dangling. Even with that I bought it for the cell condition.
As far as cost I paid what he asked. I have more in the trip to pick it up than I do in the powerflash. That being said I would do it again as I have had some very bad experience with shippers and now I have an excellent non broken powerflash. I will update you on how it all came out in the end as soon as Mopar gets here. I am like big bear I only use a hammer to fix things.

And oh yea Johnny normal I appreciate the groan. I told mopar no groans and he said he would tell everybody my secrets on finding powerflashs. I said duh seeing as how if I find anymore they would be his he might change his mind about the groan.

Another comment the man said he bought these at a store in 1974 that it was all they sold. I think alot of the machines are out west here and their are still alot out their. Mopar really wants a good one ( I gave him the first bad one with the bad cell to redo) and after that I will always buy powerflashs if just for the parts . I know their are some members that would like some parts if I find the right machine.

My biggest secret as a pachi hunter is being retired and the ability to look. My biggest fault according to Mopar is paying the asking price but if you want it you just pay.

    Now back to Pachi hunting.

An absolutely beautiful machine. I think that has to be the best, closest-to-original colored PF cell yet!!! That's the color I'm gonna go by if and when I redo my L-man PF. Speaking of, how is Mopar coming along on his PF redo?

Mopar will be having company over the holidays and I have also ordered a new cabinent. Something tells me he is going at it slowly but we will wait and see what he has to say.

    nice machine

the Pachi restoration shop ans been froced to close for the holidays

About the power coard, ill bet that is how they shiped the machines then it was up to the importer to provide a power transformer that would work..

this machine reminds me of the original machine Mudfud bought off ebay this last summer.. original and unused .. the back is pristine

You know at my age I really do not think it is a problem what you are willing to pay for a powerflash. I do not have alot in mine three but I have more in the pickup charges.

I am out of space but will always look for new items. I tend to like the old pachinkos more than the paschislos and modern pachinkos so I do have room to rotate out.

You would never of payed what you did but their were some people running you up and again I am sure glad you won. My wife says with the price I paid I should sell mine but I do not see her selling any of her old collection of steiff and schuco bears.

I will continue to hunt out here and if mopar gets what he needs I will still be looking. Someday you might see me offer for sale something but the two I have will not be among my sale items. I would like to thank everybody for their nice comments and Wish Everybody a Happy Holidays.

So, Now that you've played with both the "Little Man" and "Thunderbird", Which is your favorite?

For looks, I think the thunderbird wins out, and I like the split sided solenoids. You can open or close either side separately with a well placed ball...

But for some reason, I find myself playing the Little Man More often. Maybe that it is because the Little man is my newer machine, but it also has a bit more of a challenge to it.
Landing in the evil yellow tulip closes the whole board!
I modified the little man to operate like the thunderbird (Check my old posts!), but it payed out way too easy.

I have *NEVER* successfully closed all the tulips without hitting a yellow one. Back in 1979, I seem to remember telling my dad I managed to do it... . (But I'm pretty sure I was lying! LOL!)

So... tell me... whats your secret in finding powerflash's?

    ...e...

The only secret I am going to tell was posted back aways. I cannot tell you which plays best till my mechanic gets here around Christmas and wires it up correctly and puts it in his cabinent. Then we will tell you all about it.

As far as modifying the machine I will leave it the way it was made.

And as for the haircut But that is just my opinion .

just wanted to make a short post about the good Lt's Little man Power Flash

I have no doubt that today was the first time the Power solonids have been fired since being removed from the Parlor..

sure te machine was used by it prior owner.. but it could not have been much.. after hooking power to it we found about 50 balls jamed up in it.. it would not suprise me to say thouse are the only ball the old owner ever shot in it.. the cell has amazing color.. there is verry little wear.. its jsut amazing looking..

probably the nicest pachinko i have seen.. not to mention its a Power Flash to boot
