Default Cabinet for Julie + ball lifter?

I have a Julie pachinko and have a ball lifter installed in its frame (no cabinet). This works great, except for when I hit a fever. Then I need to keep refilling the hopper with won balls while trying to play out the fever.

Now, I think most people solve this problem by building a large ball hopper on the top of a cabinet.

I'm wondering if anyone has built a cabinet that lets you dump out the won balls, have them fall into the cabinet and then roll back toward a ball lifter that is mounted in the bottom of the cabinet? That would address a couple of issues - no heavy hopper filled with balls, and no need to have a shutoff switch below that hopper to let you open the cabinet safely.

Has anyone tried something like this?

    Thanks,
    -Mike

They've done something like this in Japan, as an arcade like thing and in the parlors

In the parlor system, you insert your card in the ball loaner, play and hopefully win, then open the gate below the ball tray under the overflow of the machine and the balls go back into the system, are counted and the credit is put back on your card.

Here is a very crude drawing to show what I'm thinking of. This should work, right? Now if I could just find someone to build it, since I don't have the skills...
