I remember that from the Billy Mays Discovery channel show that was on earlier this year - I think it was called Pitchmen. The guy who invented it sawed a car in half for the commercial. Nice concept.

Yes, I have seen that one. You can get one at Sears, another cool tool is the Fein Multi Tool.

Check out this place for other cool tools

    www.mrotogo.com

or fasteners. Try the SPAX screws from here

    www.boltstogo.com

The SPAX screws can go through wood or laminate without a pilot hole.

    hey ttc.

I did some more research, and craftsman has had the dual blade saw out for 5 years.

they had two sizes, but now just this one.

Craftsman 6-1/8 in. Twin Cutter Electric Saw

a little bit cheaper than the omni.

anyone here used this saw? I see it as replacing, or doing a lot of the stuff a reciprocating saw does, but maybe a better cut?

Yeah, it looks good you just have to make sure you read the instructions and wax the blades before cutting and don't , of course Over Work the Tool.

ah hah. that is why so many people complained that they burn up... they must not be using it correctly. the blades are close enough to touch that you have to wax them?

looked at the craftsman one, bigger blade, higher amps, but I will need to go see it. if it's too heavy, I can't control it well enough. was a problem with my big milwaukee sawzall. also, replacement pair of blades was $50.

i'm sure that there will be imitators, too, soo. I read that harbor freight used to carry one, but it's not there now.

the fact that there are 2 blades makes me think that there would be less problem with wood chipping at the edge of the cuts, too.
