    Default Lomotil is phew!

Hello Lomotil, what brings you to PachiTalk

A penchant for collecting projects that pile upon each other - with some ultimately fantastic purpose on the horizon. Oh, and I just happened across my first Pachislo machine (didn't even know the name until a day ago.)

How about you tell us a bit about yourself, Lomotil.

Eleven arcade machines, four pachinkos, seven? neon signs, and now a pachislo... And people ask me why I'm still single...

Thanks for taking the time to introduce yourself!

Thank you, automatic question prompt, for breaking the ice!

Wow - Thanks for the quick reception!

This is a newer vBulletin board than I'm used to - still feels like home, though.

If there's any KLOV forum members here, I use the same name there (but haven't been online in ages.)

Found my first Pachislo machine a couple days ago (and I say "first" because I know this road very well - this ain't my first rodeo.) At any rate, it's missing a few parts, and that's what ultimately led me to this site.

Here's a pic of my new project:

Why'd you have to say it like that?

I do have the joystick, if that's any consolation...

    hmmmmm... I dunno

Usually when we get new members with projects... they are vintage pachinko machines in need of some TLC. Most that come by with a pachislo just need some general info on how it works, why is it making that siren noise, how many tokens do I need, etc.

I was just a little surprised. BUT... it sounds like you are ready to take this project head on. Hopefully, you'll be able to get the parts you need. If not, there are working machines to be found for reasonable prices.

Having the joystick is a good thing.

Welcome to the Show that never ends . That Pachislo has seen better days and getting individual parts will be a true uphill project .

Maybe check the local craigs list or , get one from one of our members to really enjoy the Pachislo experiance

Oh, I haven't even started to work on my pachinko machines yet... Glad to see that this forum can help me with those, too!

And of course, I've always found it to be a good thing when I've got my joystick!

OK, here's what I was thinking when I bought the machine:

I came across this item with the knowledge that Japanese law somehow prevents gambling/vending/whatever machines from operating for over a certain period of time. Once the time is up, they're taken off site.

When I saw this in the store, I never opened it... I could see a green wire cut and hanging out the back, and assumed that the machine was never re-wired after it's decommission...

Upon closer inspection, it appears as if the innards were halfway cannibalized, and possibly put into a newer machine, before being sold as-is.

It's got the main PCB (encased in breathable plexiglass,) but needs the coin parts (and more.)

    Welcome to PachiTalk Lomotil!!

I can see you have already started a Support Ticket thread to try and track down your machine's missing parts

So I will post the link here to help other Members locate the rest of the conversation, and the Zombie pic of course
