    Default Beast Sapp Blues

Well.............the auction I was bidding on for the Beast Sapp ended last night. I was the high bidder with less than an hour left and I leave the room to put my son to bed. When I came back my internet connection wasn't active. After disconnecting my router, power cycling my modem, trying numerous fixes I decide to call Southwestern Bell and see if the "morons" they call Tech support can help me out. They walk me through everything that I have already tried and no help. Then they tell me its a software conflict with my dial up modem and to contact my computer manufacturer for support. LMFAO!!! This was halarious seeing as how I don't have a dialup modem installed, and I built my PC. So I immediatly demand to speak with a supervisor. After about an hour and a half on the phone I am told that there is an outage in my area and wait 4-5 hours and it will be back up.

Well in the mean time I lose the auction :smt010 I had no chance of that last minute snipe to guarantee me a new machine. Maybe next week

    Thanks SBC :smt021

    Da Stooge,

The beauty of a good snipe program is tha t you can enter your max bid hours or days before auction end and tell the program when you want the snipe to hit. That way you don't encounter the problem you experienced.

I have had the same kind of problems before, as well. It can really be frustrating.

Too bad. Better luck next time.

What did it end at? You can get one for $219 from DGI right now.

    Default snipe

the ugly thing about a good snipe program is your computer has to be on and connected to the internet otherwise it has no way to bid your snipe

I thought snipe services where online? You give your userid, password, & auction #. That way you don't have to be there or even have your computer on. More or less a service not a client side software.

That is why I have never done one. Not too fond of giving my info to a 3rd party.

    Maybe there is both types?

How are you seeing what DGI has for sale? All I ever get on their page is advertising copy. http://www.skillstop.com right?

David's right. The 3rd party snipe programs work that way. I don't think I have ever heard of anyone's pw being compromised.

Of course, I would probably end up being the first one to have that happen to me.

If I remember right, Snake's machine is a German machine. Dan's is very cool, but Snake's actually looks as if it plays around the Monopoly board? 8-)

yes its a german slot. if you get the right symbols, you enter the monopoly board. there a dices and every street is a win where you can choose to go further for a higher win or take what you get (and gamble that a again on a 50:50 with dices)
