There was finally some snow when it was light out...

OMG, It finally stopped
It snowed from sunday night until early saturday morning
We got over five feet of snow.
All roads in and out of the mountains are closed (reports of 20' drifts on some roads), power keeps going out, but the winds have stopped.
We've managed to check on all of our neighbors to make sure all is well.
Hopefully we will be getting some food airlifted in soon.
Some people are staying in the Red Cross shelters for now.
We are all OK, made a trip into town on Wednesday, to stock up before the real bad stuff hit.
Today was the calm after the storm.
We spent all day digging out most of the driveway and the 'Snow'baru.
Still have about 30' left to dig to get to the road.
In the 12 years I've been up here, this is the worst I have seen it.
Some of the old timers say it hasn't been like this since 1969.
I think it's time to move to FloridaGot room on your couch LD?

What's your elevation Steve? I'm at 3000'. I guess I got lucky with only a foot or so sticking. But up the road I have never seen it so thick.

just took these pics today.we only got a few inches , but most of the snow seemed to stick to the trees.oh,the rest of the snow you see on the ground fell at one time on christmas day.

And during some hurricanes you can be 20 feet below sea levelmy elevation here is about 20 feet above sea level
