How to hook up power.
I bought a sanyo- comet 2 and would like to bring it to life with power. Currently, it looks like something is missing like a transformer. I would like to use a 9v battery instead of plugging it in, but don't know what to attach to the 5 prong piece or how to bypass and rewire. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

how about a pic of the back of the plug and a pic that is not so close
looks like u need to provide power to the red and white but its hard to tell since the bulbs are off camera

it's usually not going to hurt anything to just hook up a 9 volt and test it.
without seeing the back, like mopar suggested, I can't be 100% sure, but from these 2 pix in my collection, I would say top 2 pins.

I have the pos (9v) hooked to the top pin and neg to 2nd pin on my Comet 2. Mudfud shows the same in her picture.Originally Posted by mudfud
