    Default Bought a Kyoraku machine

Found this one on Craigs list. The guy was asking $25 for it so I jumped. Told him over the phone I'd take it without looking it over. Well...it's seen better days!! I doubt I'll ever see it run. Missing a few pieces on the back and I'm not sure I'll ever be able to replace them. Looks like I've purchased a parts machine. Unless someone here has the parts I need or needs parts from this one I'll donate it to the local landfill!

    Live and learn!

That is a shame. Give it a few days maybe somebody has another one and you can get together with him. Shipping the whole machine is expensive but maybe some body could use a few parts. Their should be something that can be saved.

I do like the look of those Kyoraku's

Would be a shame to have to part it out, but much better to do that then to throw it away!!

Maybe you could make a list of what is actually missing??

what's missing? looks like just some covers to me from those pictures.

this type machine plugs directly into 100volts (120 will do)

I had a similar machine, and the jackpots still worked by gravity feed.

the motors were for the shooter, then there was a sound and flashing lights module.

    did you try it out?

what are the 4 little windows in the center? is there supposed to be an LED display or something?

The machine is missing the jackpot payout mechanism and some of the plastic channels to route the balls. At first glance it looks like it's just missing a few covers. When you load a few balls in it they run out the jackpot hold area.

Plugging it in does nothing. The fuses all check good. I'm guessing the transformer is shorted out as I get power to the transformer but no further than that.

The 4 windows are number LED's. I'm guessing it has a random number generator and you go into "Fever" mode if you match all 3 numbers.

I think it's a near total loss! It looks as if it was stored in the guys garage several years. Beautiful machine just too far gone!

I love the background on that machine. I've been looking for one of those.

I wouldnt get rid of it. Just stash it away and keep searching for parts. Unless of course you simply dont have the room for it.

You live in Kansas? Not far from Colorado. If you need to get rid of it...

I'm 6 miles from Wichita. Quite a drive for me. I have relatives in Aurora. Yep! I'll keep it for a while. Usually 1 or 2 Pachinkos on Craigs list every week. Who knows, may get lucky and find another!

You do realise that people actually pay for just the veneers (the backboard and nails, spinners etc) in Japan? Collectors look for old machines like this, even not working examples, with just the round veneer/backboard part and no electrics hooked up to it.

So polished up and (if possible) made to look like brand new, your backboard alone should be worth US$25... they make nice wall hangings and talking points. A bit like pinball backglasses, without the rest of the machine.

Don't throw that bit out, at least???

Oh, and by the way, this isn't a Vintage machine. It's a Modern, no matter how bad it looks...
There is always another machine around the corner...

Sure wish I knew where to go in Japan to get parts! I'm expecting another trip to Nagoya between now and March!

Anybody know? Been all over Nagoya and found many parlors but never any used machines!
