    Default Arepachi Arrival

Got off work early today due to this potential hurricane thing going on and the UPS man pulled up right behind me. Perfect timing especially since my girl was out and about and I'm not really sure she knows about this purchase. We'll see.
Of course I ripped the box off as fast as I could and stashed all the packing material for the recycling guy later this week. Placed it in the room with the rest of the pachis where hopefully she won't notice for awhile.
It's a Satomi Miracle Arrange Ball. I manged to get the stubborn release lever to move and therefore open the case. What greeted me was a rat's nest. Literally. There were droppings, paper, and bits of wire along with a couple dozen tokens. I ran and grabbed a flashlight to see the damage. Luckily the former denizens had only chewed through a few inches of the power cable. Everything else is intact with the exception of an electronics board that has come loose from it's rubber dampers. You can see it hanging off kilter in the pic. Everything is fairly dirty but looks to be in good shape. The playfield is tarred up nicely from many a pack of cigs but no water damage. There are 2 lights behind each black triangle in the upper part of the playfield. Not sure yet what all they signify .This one will definitely be fun to clean up after I get the PF back together.

I love the "hiding from the girlfriend" part. I can totally relate to that.

    Talking Re: Arepachi Arrival

Yep very lucky. They could have climbed all thru there and destroyed it but for some reason they kept it to a 3 inch section of the power cord.

Update: I couldn't take it anymore. I had to fix the power cable wiring to plug it in and see what happened. Good news: it powered right up and all the solenoids work (the one that spits out the coins and the one that releases the tray in the bottom of the numbered pockets to release balls when a new game is started). It also paid out properly when I manually dropped balls in the correct winning combos. About a third of the lights in the center number square are burned out but that's not surprising. So I'm sure I won't be able to start cleaning this one for awhile but it'll be interesting.
The tokens that came with it are the same ones that I found inside of my other Arepachi. I'll just put those up somewhere and use some other "tokens".

It's cool that you got a pretty intacted machine ! I used wooden dowel material for the main I.C. board . the "Token Empty lamps " i haven't figured out the voltage and the amps cause the lamp burns out when i put the ML-1893 lamp in . Mine had a nice , thick layer of Tar in the works to clean out Now 2 of us have that machine

Maybe between the two of us we can figure out all the details. What do the numbers that light up across the very top of the playfield mean?

I was thinking that was what those numbers are for. I can't get a close up cell pic right now since I'm away from home but takethecastle has the same machine and he has lots of good closeups on his thread about this machine. The largest number across the top is a 3 and it has sort of a starburst around it like that is the biggest payout?? Or do you add the lit up numbers?
Once I play it I'll figure it out. Yesterday I was just making sure it powered up and paid out for the most part.

Just looked at your pic and the numbers at the top on yours are the same as mine pretty much. By the way, that is quite a handsome machine.
