Default outbid on YJA, again! on this arepachi

OK. does anyone know if I can set up a YJA account for the bidding and payment, and have it shipped to kiai?

this last one showed me that

    1) the bid you put in does not rachet up like ebay. you bid, that's what shows: price was $50, kiai bid $100, didn't meet reserve, he bid $150 and that was accepted

    2) I need to find a way to snipe. I asked kiai at least 4 times in emails, and perhaps he doesn't know how, or want to take the trouble (I even asked in regular words about bidding at the last minute)

    3) not all auctions are kept open for another 15 minutes. the winning bid (that was only $10 over mine) came in 2 seconds before the auction closed.

I really wanted to get this arepachi, and I feel like maybe I should find another bidder for me?

    what do you guys think?

I really think that if I had hidden my interest and bid until the end, I would have gotten it.

That's possible but it's still worth it to have kia check it out first (ask the questions). Also some sellers might not accept a bid from someone not in Japan with low/no feedbacks. Kia'd have to set you up with an account with his address information.

thanks BBS. I registered and will ask them some further questions.

for a sample price, I entered $150 for item, got $20 fee

    shipping: 30kg, 12 x 24 x 26 inches (converted to cm), gave $294 by EMS

If you use that service, be prepared for that shipping to be up to twice that.

You might check and see if they will ship to Kiai for proper packaging and shipping.

When I checked with them, They seemed to be unsure about shipping a pachi to the states.

From my experience, they WON'T do that. But they will ship locally to Kiai if you make his address, your address, in the account info (no problem with that - they just treat it like a local deal then).

You'll pay for all this though - so you must really want the item. All those charges and double handling soon add up.
There is always another machine around the corner...

My experience is that Kiai prefers that you let him bid to avoid any issues / misunderstandings with the sellers. Have you tried asking him to find what you're looking for from the 100's of used pachinko stores - unless it's really a rare machine they usually have it at a good price.

Is it just me or Kiai seem harder to reach?

He usually reply next day, and now it's the second time I don't get reply.

Right now I'm asking him to bid on something, auction had 5 days left, but after 3 days, I still don't have new from Kiai.

    Anyone experimenting the same thing?

I think that I won't be scanning YJA anymore.

    japanmart won't do pachinkos

it hasn't worked out on 3 auctions now with kiai, he bids early at the full price, then gets outbid or scooped at the end.

in terms of the used pachinko shops that luckymoey mentioned, is kiai willing to go shop there for us?

kiai's been taking a couple days to get back to me, too.

I bought two or three pachinko in pachinko online shops using Kiai services. I asked Kiai and Kiai said he usually prefer to buy from these shops than YJA for safety. My Jurassic Park, Julie The Pinball and The Ring come from shops. If someone is interested, I can list the pachinko online shop I've found and/or bought from using Kiai services.

me too.. and he don't remember cash I sent for a previous auction that we didn't win. So far I always got an excellent service from Kiai but it would be nice to find an other way to buy on YJA too, and if outbid, have a way to bid again quickly..

please list the shop(s), as maybe this would work better.

You can put the following link in your browser toolbar:

    http://translate.google.ca/?sl=ja&tl=en

Then when you're on a Japanese web site, just copy the Japanese link, click the button in your toolbar, past link in edit box and push translate button.
