There's the reason folks - he paid $1500 for it in Japan, brand new (not ex parlour - how he'd do that is anyone's guess though???) and he wants to recoup his outlay.

the other stuff is BS about 'most charge $1500' etc, but good luck to him if he can get it.
Maybe he's confusing Yen and dollars? (joke)

Scary though it may be... I grabbed a piece of the Berlin wall, whenI was there during the destruction. After I handled if for a few weeks showing it off, I found out that it was full of asbestos. It's in a ziplock baggie now

That's because asbestos remediation is a huge cash cow that can go on for decades all the while milking the money out of the county or state coffers. The legit companies encapsulate it so it can't become airborne and go off to the next project. Once you disturb Asbestos coatings, you might as well bag the building for the next 50 years because you are going to get high readings forever. (Asbestos fibers are teeny weeny little buggers).

Great looking Alma Mater. I think that Mr. Slocum was MY principle too LOL!

I hope that they don't screw up the building like they have so many before. They sure don't build schools that look like that anymore.

the school has full auto, wood, machine, foundry and print shops.

auto shop was senior year only and students could work on their own cars.

I loved printing from the first days and took 2 years of print shop and worked in printing 18 years after I graduated.

When you can't sell for $1500, what do you do?

Re-list, of course, and jack the price up $99.99!

Well, at least the shipping is 1/3 of what slots-pachiko charges! The seller has it relisted for higher now!! Yup the first auction was TOO cheap.

I have another theory - maybe we are misunderstanding the whole idea:

"Honey that machine is so loud and annoying and it's taking up space that I could use for my new (insert item of choice)"

"OK babe - I'll put it up on eBay and see if anyone will buy it"

    a few weeks later

"Sorry babe - it looks like no one wants to buy my machine but I'll re-list it at a different price and see what happens"

    another few weeks

"Sorry babe - no one bid on the machine, I think I'll keep it a little longer"

I do a search for Yamato pachinko machines on ebay regularly. I'm looking for either Fuji models.

I saw this one and was about to post about it's outrageous price but I see I was late to the party.

I have to say it does make me feel like I got mine at a good price ($250ish shipped). I got it off of ebay only a few months ago...Mine is in it's original frame...does anyone think I could get a grand out of mine?
