I think it's time to have a word with my lazy wife.
She better buck up her ideas if she wants that new ironing board for Christmas

Make sure you put two(2) sheets of double thick glass in it to make it as original as possible. Enjoy, Enjoy!!!

That was my plan Jerry, once I get things cleaned on this baby i'm gonna get a piece of plex and a piece of regular to put in this. last thing on the list.

Using a brasso/water mix and a shoestring. Dip it in the mixture, squeegie the excess off the go after it.

I there an easier way to get into the tighter spots?

My fingers ache just looking at those shiny nails...I'm going to try TC's miracle cloth on my next one..already have one waiting. I'm going to try the lemon juice and salt option also, maybe I'll do the nails in thirds and post comparison pictures of the cloth, lemon juice and brasso...

Good idea Mike, just got done with cleaning the nails and wiping the cell down. Will post pics soon. Overall it took little over 9 hours, give or take.

Oh yeah, I broke down myself and bought the Miracle Cloth last night, the only thing I could do while some 24 hour bug jumped me.

I'll test it on my next vintage in the near future, hehehe.

Ok, after taking countless pictures and scubbing and cleaning here and there I can finally show you how I disassembled the whole back of the machine and put it back together before I show you the finished product.

    Spoiler

Derby pachiko is now up and running.

Make sure you use those photos on eBay when you sell it to one of us in the future!

Really, REALLY nice work.. It's a pleasure to see an old machine come back to life so vigourously.
There is always another machine around the corner...

Thanks all, it's great that you approve of my work. I love projects like this (especially when it works like it should).

As far as I can tell the machine operates like it should, payouts, operation of the top ball tray feeding the recycle tray, the only issue so far is the balls getting stuck in the rocker in the play area. Does not matter which side it goes to it gets stuck.

Ok let me show you some of my demolition.
Staples come out with alittle help with pliers and some small flathead screwdrivers.

Light harness first then the top tray, had to straighten the small tab on the ball ramp to remove from the tray.
