Now the back ball cover goes back on and the guide bracket for the empty tray rod. I used my power screwdriver with a drill bit that's a little bigger than the screw to make a hole in the backet, then used a smaller bit to make a starter hole in the wood. One screw there and the other where the staple was originally.

The tulip lever assembly had small sponges for shock when the levers move around. They tore during cleaning. Going around the hardware store squeezing different things to see if it's a match with no sucess.

Then I got a jolt of inspiration, off to the dollar store. The so call wonder sponge. about the same softness but a lot more dense.

Used a sharp blade to cut in slices, separate, then use a generous amout of super glue to attach. trim what you don't need off and the results are good.

Getting close, ball feed tube, ball feed bracket, top ball tray shoot, top tray: check, check, check and check.

Sandpaper and brasso on the ball shoot and brasso for the ball feed tube. Connect the ball shoot back to the tray bending the tab back in place.

Connect the ball release rod back to the lever on the ball feed bracket, line the top tray back up to it's spot on the back and secure it in place.

Checking my work I make sure everything is back in place in the back. Then I begin to put the trim back in the front of the machine.
    Ta-da!!!

That was a fun build and the machine works great despite the ball getting stuck in the rocker from time to time. And MAN, that's alot of typing and arranging the pics, but i'm glad to show you my work and hope that it can help out someone in the future.

    Now...now...

I want to do another one

Darn pachi's, why do I love them so much?

First off, nice, nice work SJ! Now, how much you want for the machine? Ha just kidding. No doubt you are enjoying that beauty.

In reference to your question about the translation...I consulted the spouse, who is from the big island. This says something to the effect that in order to clean this part you should use hot water and a cotton cloth. Also you shouldn't use benzene or any sharp objects to clean...Hmm looks as if you did just fine to clean this up without reading the tag.

By the way, thanks for the wonderful visual tour of your project.

SJ--First off, excellent job on this machine! Have you solved the problem with the balls sticking in the rocker yet? I had a similar problem on one of my machines. It turns out that the center attraction had some slight warping causing a part to stick. I solved it by removing the center attraction, putting slight pressure on the plastic in the direction it needed to go to correct the warp, and gently heating with a heat gun at a low setting. The plastic will soften, and when it gets to where it needs to be, remove the heat, and hold it in that position until it cools.
