Lots of running around lately, but continuing on...

once I got the lower ball tray and trim plate off I went to clean them with a cleaning product called green works I got from Wally-mart.

The trim plate I used Brasso and I say they both look pretty good.

The plastic on this is pitted in some places, some little black spots but I use a straight pen and a small sanding stone to take care of this.

Now the shooters tray, this was really dirty and the balls were getting stuck between the tray and the trim plastic on the wood.

So to remove the tray from the tray door, need to remove the tray door from the metal frame.

Then taking the ball loading box (if you know what this is called plz let me know) apart I give these a good cleaning

Had to figure out why the balls were getting stuck. So when I was taking these o-clips off (and it wasn't easy, but I did not break the plastic post that these are on) I noticed that the door was slightly bent.

I took one shot at straightening it and BAM, got it in one shot.

Then I took the Nishijin logo off. As you see in the third pic you notice scratch marks that I made trying to take off this weird rectangle clip someone put on. This machine was worked on before.

I gave the player tray door a good cleaning with some brasso, you can see the outline of the tray, the rust did some minor damage but it still look good I think.

Then I attacked the metal frame with brasso and gave it a really good shine then put the player tray door back on the frame.

Oh, and if your wondering, I tested the tray to see if the balls get stuck and they rolled right through with no problem.

Once again - great work. I have one waiting that has the same tray style, ball hopper empty flag etc, you've set the bar pretty high.

I finally broke down and bought one of these cloths. I am impressed!

It shined the chrome and brass with very little effort and smells like coconuts.

Makes you think your cleaning the machine on a tropical island with a tropical drink in your hand...Well maybe not but it cleans good.

I got mine off of ebay for less than $3.00 and got it in three days.

    Sphere,
That machine is going to be a real beauty after your refurbishment!
Make sure you put two(2) sheets of double thick glass in it to make it as original as possible. Enjoy, Enjoy!!!
