It may have been removed if the machine had been made cyclic...maybe??

Yes that is the case - they rigged it to continuously play balls. My big problem now is trying to find the payout unit. Would have been nice if previous owner left that intact or with the machine! Thanks for your help.

I may be able to help...I've got a machine that might provide the part, but I am not sure exactly what you are looking for...can you (or anyone else) provide me a picture of a "Payout unit"???
