Default Elvis ripoff - members beware!

No WAY this is a real Elvis machine, folks!

Even if the glass DOES say IGT... it ISN'T!!!

    From the ad:
You are bidding on a used but in excellent condition slot machine titled "Elvis Presley" and reads officially licensed EPE product on the front where the slot machine serial numbers are located. This unit is a couple years old and looks different on the top half of the machine and reels than the latest version of the Elvis Presley looks.

If I cross my eyes and drink alot of booze...I swear I saw Elvis's face burned into my grilled cheese.

I wonder how much I could drop ship a Pink Boo containing an "Elvis grilled cheese sandwich" placed in its hopper for?

I wonder if the price will drop if somehow the bidders found out it was not a licensed Elvis machine.

I'm wondering now if that's even a real Elvis belly glass... I doubt it!
Probably a copy! Now that's an INTENTIONAL ripoff if I ever saw one!

I dont know. But it would be even cooler if the person that notified gave them a link to the Pachislo Museum page here at PachiTalk and showed them the Conti XXXX in living color and then told them that this site was a very good site for getting information on the hobby and the machines.

Is there any way to get the importers from this forum that have scruples and are fed up with all the money grubbers with half-arsed conversions to add to their sites (in large, bold type, of course) something about "be informed before bidding! check out this site before you get scammed by the less than upstanding individuals......."?? Seems like that'd be the only way to get the message out to the general public.....and it wouldn't hurt their reputations or sales, I'm sure, when people shy away from the fakes and order the 'real thing' thru them.......

It would certainly benefit the major vendors to link to our site. Well at least some of them. Others may want to shy away from that one though.

Guess they figure why put out extra effort to change all reels and glass if just half-arsed job gets over $400 for a machine that you can get for what...$200?

The glass is not even from a real elvis machine. You can tell by how translucent the blacks look on the glass.

You know that really is a good question.

Maybe someone should write and mass market a ebook about these things on Ebay? But I bet the dealers would kill it with bad feedbacks??

    Makes me go hmmmmm....

When I wrote that, I wasn't the admin of a free site specifically designed around the need for free information. Now I am. Seems a bit hypocritical to charge for that information now, IMHO. So I killed it, gave it a decent burial and will visit it once a year on the anniversary.

People are going to get screwed on Ebay whether that book is available or not. I can't stop that from happening. I'm not even sure I ever should have tried.

To never have tryed is like nevered have loved, the lost feelings would chew at ones guts forever. Tho we can't help all on their first machine, maybe we will help them on their second and third etc.

We all have paid over the fair market price for something, and learned from that. We can not hold their hands, all we can do is offer them an edication in Pachi U. If they come and read.

An old probverb: "you can give a man a fish and he can eat, but if you teach him to fish, he will ask where the Beer ?"

Our numbers grow because, we do a service in pachi and good humor (most of the time).

I can see this in a year at well over a 1,000 member and triple the band width, the need for three times as many mods.
