Thanks for your reply! What is YJA? (I am a newbie!) Not sure what the model is but here is a picture of the machine and one of the bad motor. The gear reduction portion spins smooth it is the motor that is not.

Again, many thanks for any help!

    hi there.

YJA is yahoo japan auctions. it's the equivalent of ebay in japan. there's a whole section of pachinkos. we use a proxy named kiai who will bid for us, have it shipped to him, then ship to US, for a commission.

The Quick and Dirty Guide to Shopping on YJA

the only motor I found right now is this one, and it does seem the right one. I swear there was one similar to yours there last month, but I can't find it now.

I used google translate for "motor" and pasted the characters in the pachinko section.

good luck on finding the part. you might try some of the surplus electronics places, too, but I don't know if that is a common kind of motor.

Your sure it's the motor and not a connection or the control electronics?

Or is it a stripped gear?

Yes the gears are fine and the motor spins but not smooth. As soon as you put any load on it at all it does not work right. I tried taking it apart and fixing it but it needs replacing. But thanks!
