I'm kidding, I just looked up Rolling Stone and Japanese

Tried folklore, but came up with nothing

OK. first pix of my rolling stone.

the cell on this may need the microbus makeover... or maybe something even more outlandish? (I have a secret pachi makeover that I can't wait to show you...)

the medal and string, however, are still attached.

it seems like the claw must collect balls until there are enough to overcome the latch, then the balls will pull the medal down until they empty into the hole.

as the medal drops, the small 4 colored wheel spins, the string running around its axle. the medal pulls back up on its own, so there must be a counter weight in the back?

I imagine it would be a buildup of balls until you got the super payout when they ran through the back.

can anyone confirm this is how the rolling stone works?

also, there are these pockets at the bottom with side swingers that I hadn't seen before... I suppose they let an occasional ball enter from the side, but aren't as good as having a real tulip.

I did a little research to see if that medal was anything but seems generic, pretty close to a silver star.

Pretty cool feature I must admit.

    Hi Mudfud,

I have those funky little chutes on one of my older, ready to rebuild, machines as well. I didnt think anything of them until I saw that little "dangler".

I think its kind of cool. You're right though, you cant beat the tulips.

If I had a digital image of my "makeover" I would share it with you for your machine but unfortunately I dont. The next one I do I'll definitely have it digitized.
