Default a couple more vintages off craig's list

well, I'm up in sac'to working and visiting my parents, and I found a couple more pachinkos.

one is an okamurayuki, didn't have one of these. will have to take the big green cover off the back to check out the workings.

the other is a nishijin B, with an interesting right upper super tulip thing that engages a medal looking thing that goes up and down. apparently the balls go down the right side and through to the back and it's something of a bonus mode. anyone seen this?

hey microbus, this background is the same "blob" one that you just fixed up... I think mine will clean up without the resurface that you did, but it will give me a goal.

I am inviting the seller to check out pachitalk. he has fixed up several machines and made cabinets, and had these 2 that he never got around to. he had a funny story that someone came by the garage sale and asked if he had seen a pachinko with playing cards on the face (mopar, was that you?)... I laughed and told him about the "rare" powerflash... he had gotten out bid on ebay at around $125 on one... I told him about the $1K machine, so he'll be on the lookout, too. he's very handy, so I am hoping he will share some of his fixes with us. he fixed one front tray with bondo, painted it, and it looked great, he says.

p.s. the two 1940s machines from NY made it to berkeley. the wife says the boxes are intact (yeah! fedex and my old laundry came through). can't wait to get home and start working.

    The BLOBS return!!!

That deal in the corner is pretty cool!! Bondo. Hmm...that sounds very doable for broken trays. Maybe the fiberglass type would be better for plastic.

    Excellent find!!

Was out in Pasco Washington and stopped to look at a pachinko that had been on Craigs list for three weeks. It was a super deluxe almost identical to yours. It will be leaving for Mopars house on Weds and he will have it Sunday. Surprising how many their are out their that are just a little different but just basically the same.

OK. i knew that I had seen that feature, but why is it called "rolling stone"? I searched for medal, rising piece, all kinds of things, but couldn't remember where I saw it.

anyhow, that's funny that mopar saw them, too, and that mopar has one coming from washington.

got the rolling stone one for 25, the okamurayuki for 40. not super bargains, but I wanted them and was up here anyway. did the price drop a lot since the garage sale?

the bay area has similar machines listed at $100 and more, so for me, these were cheap, since there was no shipping, too.

now I have 4 machines in berkeley to fix, and another 6 in salinas... gotta stop... can't stop looking... there might be another rare machine out there...

Just thought I would post a picture of the one on the way to Mopars. You should note that it is alot like Mudfuds but it is more like the newly refinished one.
The string has busted on the one coming to Mopar but I have the slide. To me it looks like they just started changing with design as they advanced a little at a time.

There is no way some fool paid $1k for a pachinko machine...

I like the "side claw" machine. I will have to keep an eye out for one - very cool. Nice find. My niece lives up that way, I will have to get her to look out for me...

he wanted 50 for each.. so his price droped a bit.. i tryed to tell him i thought he was asking to much.. when i saw them they were filthy, gross and nasty dirty..

with the water stains i had to pass.. i have nicer machines i spent less on... and i have way way worse machines i have spent more on..

so im on my own 12 step.. step one, learn to say no... this one is going to take me a long time to pass

ps im over 25 pachinko now.. when i joined in january i think i had 6

now you guys got me curious as to whether my string is attached... guess I'll have to pull the nishijin "rolling stone" out to work on first.

p.s. you know, the wife said that is was probably some weird japanese translation that named that thing "rolling stone"... now that I see it was printed on the front, I have to agree with her... wonder what rolling stone means in japanese? compirate, any ideas?
