    Default 1970 nishijin i won

    hi, i just won , a vintage pachinko on e-bay, i should have read some article's first it's true cost me only $36.00 + $52.00 shipping $88.00 total for a 1970 era nishijin, he said some wires are dry rot , but i can replace them , i hope it will be a learning thing ,trying to refurbish it , i may need some help i'll let you know when it arrives

    Refurbishing is fun, I really don't want a machine if it's ready to go. There's alot of satisfaction when you get to the final product, plus you learn about how these things really work and the cleverness behind the design. Also, unrefurbished machines are less expensive.

    I think once you upload some more detailed photos you'll get a better idea from the members as to how far to go with this.

    Judging by the Ebay photos this machine looks to be in pretty good condition and wont need much more than a cleaning. Maybe you could start by cleaning the brass nails on the playfield and then the playfield. However, dont spray the playfield with anything. Spray your cloth and then clean.

    It should also be noted that it depends on your skill level in regards to dismantling and cleaning the mechanical portion of the machine.

    Stare at it for a few days!!! Take lots of pictures before you take any thing apart!!
