Default More Arepachi help

    looking for a little help

i think i have located the problem with the good LT's Arepachi..

    the problem

as found it would only work 5% of the time.. but it does work.. i would shoot a ball it would land in a pocket. but the only way i would know what pocket a ball lands in is to pull the shooter handle full pull.. that activates a micro switch and lights the pockets that have balls in them... (i would refer to this as kind of a last game played) after shooting all 16 balls the game just ends no metals paid...

if i pull the ??? "box" (donno what to call it) and switch it with the one next to it it plays fine.. except now a metal is paied every time a game is over.. all the lights work every thing sems fine.. except that a metal is paid with every game..

so now the reason for the post

does any one know what this little "box" would be called and or where to buy a replacement for it??

i hope this all makes sense... please ask any questions of it does not

Yeah, the only 4 pole one they had is circuit board type, not a socket type that he has.

    in that case, try this

    Standard Ice Cube Relay
SPDT thru 4PDT (1 to 4 Pole)
Idec RH Series - wolfautomation.com

you can order with the pins that you want and voltage you want, and it was only about $10 plus ship.

wait a minute, isn't the one you listed the same as mopar's?

    Am I harshing your buzz?

The only problem I see with those is the coil connections are in a different orientation than the rest. Unless his socket is universal (accepts horizontal and vertical), then he'd have to get and solder a new socket too.

    what does that mean?

    I wasn't offended or anything.

you do have the eye for detail! mopar's pretty handy, so I'm sure he could figure something out. maybe even twist the connectors to fit?

the key would be finding a relay that duplicates his connections.

p.s. alltronics did have a relay socket for sale, too.

Did you switch the two board relays to see for sure that it is the relay that is bad and not a board connection?

Did you open the suspect relay and clean its contacts?

I came into this thread reading only the last few posts so I did not see that you swapped
    out the relays sorry.

The cover can come off using jewelers screwdrivers.

However if you manage to break the cover (which I hope you dont) it protects the relay from foreign objects causing contact jamming or shorts.

You can use electric tape to hold it back in place if you break its holding tabs.

As for the OHM question I would try Omron direct . Your relay model should be on the cover.

if you are talking about the resistance of the coil of the resistor, no problem.

the coil uses as much juice as it needs to close/open the contacts, and as long as you have enough current supply from your power source, you will be fine

625 and 650 ohm are really close, anyhow.

let us know how it works... I feel success in the air...
