but I really need to get Rock Band as you can get an AC/DC track pack for it!!

I completely s8ck at both Rock Band AND Guitar Hero... but it is fun! The Aerosmith edition is great! I stick to singing in Rock Band, by order of the kids... of course, I sound really bad.

I've been banned for a bit, as my daughters are trying to unlock some songs and you need to 5-Star every open song before you can unlock the hidden ones. Luckily, one of the girls... by some freak of nature, has got a lovely singing voice and can 5-star everything on her first try. I can't wait until the Mommy ban is lifted

...and it is awesome on a big screen TV! I must say that I love this game. The videos in the individual songs are not quite as detailed as this opening bit, but they are pretty good nonetheless, ranging from quite simple to extremely psychedelic depending on the tune.

I was hoping just to purchase the disc to go along with the Rock Band instruments I already had, but found that it is not available for PS2. I then bought the whole kit for the Wii and do not regret it. The guitar and drum set are retro and there is a mic with a stand, with the capability of adding two more mics for the harmonies.

They really thought this game out and made it easier for the older folks to enjoy as they anticipated broader interest in this particular release. All the songs are already unlocked, so that means one like me is not expected to master an instrument to get to hidden songs. That is common in other versions of Rock Band. However, just to make things a bit more interesting, there is an "Accomplishments" area that will give you instructions or challenges to unlock video clips and photographs. It is really pretty cool.

Unfortunately, there are only 45 songs on the disc... but with the promise of others becoming available for download in the coming months. We have played all of them and cannot wait for the dowloads. From what I have read, Xbox gets first crack at the downloads for a period of time, then the Wii and PS3 users will gain access to them.

This game has been played for several hours per day since we got it. My youngest daughter has been on a Beatles kick for the last two years and is loving the heck out of it. My older daughter wasn't really into them, but she sure is now. I have to say that I am thrilled that this generation is now embracing the music as if it were their own.

If anyone out there is contemplating going for this edition, I heartily recommend it.

My family loves the Wii! We do love Guitar Hero and have to get Rock Band soon...but I'm too busy getting a Pachislo collection going!

Other good games are Mario Kart, Mario Galaxy and Wii Fit.

I agree everyone should have a Wii!
