    Default First Vintage!

I just won this one on Ebay.
    vintage Sankyo

Have no clue what model it is, or what I might be getting myself into. But I've been wanting one with a flipper for awhile, and the price was right. This one is less than a half hour from work, picking it up Tues.

I'll take better pics once I get her home.

Umm, thanks guys, but uhhh, I'm one of the original members of the board and one of the first few to venture to the dark side.
This is my first VINTAGE pachinko, I have over a dozen of the non-flipper type. Hell, my red prototype Spiderman is reflected in the eye of my avatar.

And D, I think the fishies are more of the old random design thing. If you look closely at the center areas it looks kinda like an Ali Babba type theme.

I'll get better pics tomorrow nite and post em.

Ok here are some pics as promised.

    1.jpg Whole playfield

    2.jpg Center pockets

The machine looks pretty normal, just dirty and a little oxidation on some of the metal parts.
What I am really happy with is the lack of any staining on the playfield.

I don't think this was ever used since it left the parlor. The original plug is on the back to power the lights, and there is no sign of any kind of legs being attached to it. No holes from wooden ones and not a mark on the front or back as you would find with metal supports.
    This should clean up nice.

That's a very nice vintage you got!! I like the theme and how remarkably clean the play field is. Like you said, it should clean up real nice.

    Clean up is going great.
But now I have a wiring question. Fairly simple I think.
    Here is the pic.

    3.jpg

Want to hook up a 9v for the lights. 9v harness has 2 wires, this has three.
Which do I eliminate or do I combine the red and yellow (yellow looks white in the pic)?

u will only need two of the wires

try the red and white first... white has the fuse...

    if not white and black

the extra wire should have been for parlor use and will not be needed

with a 9volt there is little risk of damage...

    Thanks Mopar.
    I now have lights.
It was the white and red wires. White-positive and red-negative.

Alright onto the next section of this cleaning up thing.
Damn, I've been real spoiled. The last few pachinkos I got were from Arby, and those were super clean.
Anyways, here is the next area for cleaning:

    4.jpg

What is the best thing to polish this up with? Standard polish stuff (I've been using a tube of Flitz)? Or is this type of metal not gonna look new and shiny no matter what?

Also I think I am missing some kind of insert for the ashtray.

    5.jpg

    6.jpg

Any ideas where I can find one?

It's funny how some of the shiny reflective areas look almost rusty. When in reality its reflecting the red shirt I am wearing.

nope no liner needed thats it

u might try a simple scotch brite brite pad.. i dont think it should be too bright or shinny due to the details
