Default Star Wars no sound advice

    Hi members.

Was hoping for some advice. I'm interested in this Star Wars pachinko
but from the description not sure if I can get it working.(powers up but no sound) I have some older non-electric machines but have never played or worked on one of the newer one's. Do members think a novice can get this working?
    Thanks!!

there is nothing wrong with it, Its just missing a dongle. easy fix. Ask them if it shoots balls, when they say no, say hmm.it has no sound and the shooter dosn't work..how about fifty dollars. Replace the dongle and your golden!!!

for that price it should have sound. At that price everything would have to be working perfect for me to buy it.

Hopefully it is just the dongle.

Dongles are required for the newer CR (card reader) machines. like this Star Wars.

After reading his description it sounds to me like he's only seeing the attract mode where there is no sound. Contact the seller and ask him to drop a ball into the start pocket then see if it has sound or not.

Either way its not gonna work without a dongle.

This is my personal opinion, or of the voices in my head, and are not meant to reflect the opinion of this board.

That's just the ground wire for the ball hopper. It's usually connected up to an earth point in the parlour to drain away any static electricity the balls may have picked up in the parlours ball distribution system.

I like to connect mine to one of the screws securing the transformer to the frame (and also hook the ground pin of the power cord to this same screw), but most vendors either snip this wire or leave it hanging.

Like others I suspect that this machine doesn't work because of a missing dongle causing the ball shooter not to fire. I'm also guessing that the seller may not know how to open the machine (there's no lock present in the pics) so won't have tested to see if the sound starts up when you drop a ball into the pocket.
