Default How do you keep the machine quiet?

I noticed on my new machine a volume slider. It seems to go from "loud" to "Louder" to "LOUDEST." Even the lowest volume seems to be loud enough to wake the neighbors. And way to bring it down a bit?

I was thinking of strapping some foam to the speakers to mute it a bit. Anyone have a better idea?

You will get lots of ideas here. Most of us install volume controls on the speakers. I use & sell these in the Pachitalk auction.

Yes and they do work well. You need to turn your volume control on the machine to lowest and install these. Highly reccommend.

PERFECT! I will order one as soon as I finish learning the machine and putting a frame around it.

Also, if the volume controls aren't enough (though they are for 99% of users) you should search the modification section for "rubber" or "dampening" as some users (including myself) worked on ways to quiet the ball noise for neighbors as well.
Currently Own: Nothing. I play mostly online now.

In the mean time you can put cotton-wool in the space in front of the speakers...it distorts the sounds a bit - but greatly reduces the sound...
