Ask Arby about his TomCat from them first.

Came all in pieces, I emailed, but no joy. Never, I mean Never answered me back. I did get it together and it runs good. Since I have bought three of them, great seller to retired airforce.

Back on track, they used no packing, none, not even a piece of paper. Just put it in a cardboard box (single wall) that fit tight. slapped a shipping label on it called it good.

I can honestly say it was the worse job of packing I have ever had.

    Period.

Well it isn't exactly a statement of fact and if there's anyone on this planet that will give a guy a second chance to make something right, it's Arby.

I also called three times and he was not there, the first two I asked when they thought he would be there and I would call than. I did, no joy, the third time I asked him to call me, because unless i am sleeping or  . I answer the phone.

My conclusion was they were rich enough to NOT want my money in the future.
I did a charge back on damage and held for pickup and charged for storage at a $1.50 a day.
Two months later I endded up with a free machine that needed a little work putting back together, some minor adjustments on the reels.

Business have an edge on charge back to another company I found out. It was my credit card company told me to request pickup and charge storage. Sent a regestered letter.

But I stayed nice, asuming they would right the problem, in the end I guess they did, a free machine.

Did you release the charge-back to the vendor after you received the free machine? At $1.50 a day you'd held back for nearly $100 plus the damage amount.

Guess I shouldn't bookmark this vendor...

I got my money back and after the storge eceeded the value of the damaged machine by 2X I notified them it would be desposed of unless I heard from them in three days with a cashers check.

No joy, so i ended up with it and my money back, only out the two regestered letters

Just a quick note about the hot rod queen. I just saw an auction for a hot rod queen close at over $500 on eBay. The dealer listed it s a rare 1930's round top Vegas machine.

That takes some serious balls in my book to screw unsuspecting buyers into believing they are buying a 1930's machine ... Wow!

Just my opinion ... maybe it really is a caveat emptor world?!?!?

Business have an edge on charge back to another company I found out. It was my credit card company told me to request pickup and charge storage. Sent a registered letter.
How does this work? It seems to me that if there is a model that you want and it is a good price, that this would be the perfect dealer.

If it is a good price to start with and, you might get "lucky" and end up with it free, what could be better?

    Just my 2 cents. ~spooner

JUST SPENT 3+ HOURS ON THE 73 DEGREE FRONT PORCH DRINKING BEER AND RUM WITH MY MOUTHPIECE!!! BOTTOM LINE: IF YOU FOLLOW ARBY'S OUTLINE YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE A COMPANY. BUT THEY HAVE TO BE GIVEN 30 DAYS TO RESPOND PRIOR TO STORAGE CHARGES BEING IMPOSED, BUT, THE CHARGES ARE RETROACTIVE TO THE DAY THE 1ST REGISTERED LETTER WAS RECIVED!

In Iowa if you are past 30 day (with the problem) it is retro-auto, It kicks in on notice by regestered letter.

Most states the laws are wrote for the consumer, we just need to use them!

It somehow seems a little dishonest, but if it ends up making a better dealer than I suppose it is worth the karma hit.

I will have to think about it. ~spooner

how dishonest, I have the right to charge storage, because I am required to protect their item by law, till such time they picked it up. they sent a machine that was trashed, without following UPS guild lines, UPS are not going to pay.

So I should have taken it on the chin ?

I did a charge back and got it. they should have sent a call tag. they didn't.

So technicly I would be taking care of their machine even now, a year later. I exersied my right as a wronged party. and this time won.

Dishonest is what I would call them, for not taking care of the problem.

How many they pulled the same ****z on and got away with it, and to thats a crime

Whoa! I did not mean to say that you had done anything dishonest at all, Arby! I was only suggesting that if I tried to purchase a system from them with the intention of having a problem that I could parlay into a free machine that I could take a karma hit.

I totally admire and applaud everything you did regarding this transaction. I apologize for giving the wrong impression.

Please forgive me for causing a misunderstanding. ~spooner
