I mean really you have an animal thats raised on a school farm treated as a pet and then lets sell it for meat.. :inspirtaion:

whats next the class guinea pig? or even better lets raise chinchillas and start a fur farm the children will love that!! we could then auction off the fur coats to buy a rolls royce for the head master...

it's just not right to have raised it as a pet, befriending it, learning to take care and love the little lamb...

I'm sure if it goes ahead today then children are going to be traumatised...

mind you it could be a ploy to get some wealthy benefactor to make a donation to save Marcus and buy the school 3 pigs all in one go ? im just saying..

our 4H clubs do that every year. raise and care for animals then sell them at the fair for slaughter

Of course, where do the little kiddies think meat comes from? Maybe they are a little young to learn the 'life can be cruel and heartless sometimes' lesson yet, but maybe they should have been willing to trade him for the pigs.
