    Default Identifying a newgin pachinko

Hello all, I am sorry if this is a rudimentary post. I looked at the newgin page but did not see my machine listed as far as I can tell.

The theme looks to be a tiger and the only thing written in english is Realize one's dreams.

The attached picture is like the machine I have.

Anyway, I would like to find a book of some sort for the machine if it is available and there seems to be problems with it, but never having one of these things, I don't know. Are there repair manuals available for these things?

Hope the post made some sense. :-)

If you can post a picture of your actual machine, and whatever you think might be wrong with it we answer all questions, maybe not right away, but we try!

Thanks so much for the quick reply. I have attached pictures of the machine. I wasn't sure what size to make the images so I sized them to 400px wide by whatever high.

    1) Front of the machine
    2) Back of the machine
    3) LED Display located on the right side of the machine as looking at the back. This LED read '2'. There is a list of codes listed on the plastic but I do not know what they mean. I can try to take a clear picture of them if you like.

    4) a switch located on the left side of the machine as looking at the back, plus what looks like several two prong plugs with maybe a legend of what they are.

When I power the machine on, it seems to initialize the slot machine like device in the middle. The ball shooter works fine. The two buttons on the front of the machine, the left one is yellow has a LED that stays lit. The right one is red and I guess allows you to stop the spinning of the slot portion in the middle of the playing field. Although, I cannot really tell if it works right.

Any advise where I should start? On top of the machine is a large hole where it looks like you can fill it with balls.

I appreciate all that you can share with me. I have never had one of these machines, but my children seem to love playing it. Although it is REALLY loud.

    Warm Regards,

    Joe

The two buttons on the front are used if the machine is in a parlor in Japan. The machine is normally connected to a card reader so that balls can be 'loaned' for play. One button loans balls at 25 for 100Yen, the other ejects the card. They are not used for home play, however, a member here (Daverob) has designed a special dongle connector that allows these buttons to work.

The number 2 is probably saying that you don't have enough balls in the upper hopper in the back. We can tell you more precisely with a clearer picture of the error codes.

The other connectors in your other picture are battle counter connections - also more a parlor thing than a home thing. These battle counters are led displays and extra flashy lights that tell statistics about play ongoing and over the past several days - number of spins, number of bonuses, etc. The switch is probably a volume control - a clearer picture would be good

The other connectors on the upper right of the back are parlor frame connections - tells them how many balls have been paid out, how many balls have been 'loaned' and if the front door has been opened.

Thanks so much for the clarification.

I will try to take a better picture of the codes table on the cover of the machine.

The switch that I pictured does not seem to do anything. It is spring held to the bottom, so if you switch it up, it pulls itself back to the bottom. I though perhaps that it was a reset switch of some sort.

My kids were playing the machine and it seemed to keep score, the score on the front now reads 'FFF' and there are two other displays. I cannot remember what they read however. Unplugging the machine does not reset this condition and neither does flipping the switch in the back.

I will take more pictures for you.

Thank you so much for taking the time to educate and help me. I really appreciate it.

    Warm Regards,
    Joe

    I have some more images.

    1) The Score board or whatever it is at the sides of the play field.
    2) The scoreboard at the lower right corner of the play field
    3) The Sticker in the lower right area of the window
    4) The Parlor Buttons
    5) The code table
    6) The label on the box with the code table.

I had a hard time getting a good image of the table of code results. I took the unit out hoping that I could get some dark paper behind the writing, but I cannot get the box apart that holds the circuit board. If need be I will draw them out and scan it if that will help.

    Warm Regards,
