    Default ラッキー pachinko ball

Where can I find a pachinko ball with katakana ラッキー engraved on the ball?

That would be a tough one... most of us order balls from eBay, just for function. I don't know where you'd begin to look for something so specific, unless you consider having some made. Good luck in your search.

Even you buy them from one vendor they can be all different. I think the fun part is to find new interesting engraves every day you play. Today I found a quite large picture of running man engraved on one ball. Newer seen that one before.

I know that the ラッキー(lucky) ball appears accidentaly in Japan when someone play pachinko. When someone get the ラッキー (lucky) can be changed by an item. I think it something like that.

That's interesting. I always thought they just were names of parlor chains to prevent cheating and there are no special balls. However that sounds logical. I think the text is quite hard to find from all balls. Are you really sure or is that prize something big and that's why the lucky ball is not so easy to find? Gold ball or colored engraving would work better.

Special ball or token would be nice idea to any home party. Too bad my machines are all cyclic so there is no point. Maybe with pachislo and some bi-metal or golden special tokens (my all tokens are same and silver).

i would guess at the speed most pachinko is played it would have to be a damn big prize .. cause it would take forrrrrrrrrrrever to find that needle in a hay stack

Here is the youtube link to the ラッキー BALL. I have this old ball that I found in my grandmother room when I was a little child. Almost 30 years ago. Now I try to find a new ラッキー BALL.

Speaking of Lucky Charms, I never go anywhere without my two lucky charms, a token that says "PACHINKO KING" on it and a ball that has my name on it "JUMBO" !!

To my knowledge, that is *not* the case. It is far more likely that the parlour you're ball came from was named ラッキー, or a contraction of this.

You would never be able to track a 'lucky' marked ball, as others have suggested to you already.

I guess its possible, but I've never heard of this. ALL balls can be exchanged, ultimately, for prizes, so having one single ball in a treasure hunt arrangement would be terribly impractical. Who is going to go through all 4000 of their won balls to find the ラッキー one? And how/where woud they attempt this?

I hope you find another - an idea would be to do a Yahoo Japan search for ラッキー balls specifically, or ask some of those vendors for them.
There is always another machine around the corner...

My Friend from JAPAN tell about the "lucky" ball. I believe that she tell me the true. But I don't know if happen in every pachinko shops. When I ask her if she could find same ball to me with the same katakana lettering, she explain that when accidentaly appear the ラッキー pachinko ball, this unique ball can be changed for something. She told me that people always change the ball for an unique item. Many pachinko shops in nowdays has english name. P ARK pachinko for exemple... Maybe in 4000 balls will have one that will be ラッキー P ARK, or just ラッキー... Other exemple :ラッキー Yumeya, Whatever, its a possibility.

You said the ball is over 30 years old. Maybe it was the system in parlors then. Who knows... People feed much less balls into games and wins were smaller amount also. It can be possible.

When I found this little ball in my grandmother bedroom, I had 4 or 5 years old. She didn't know about pachinko, and couldn't explain why the ball was there. I didn't know about pachinko too, because here in Brazil (Brasil) don't have pachinko parlor.I think that the ball was with her since 60's or 70's. Maybe some friend give to her or my mother's friend. I don't know, we can't have the real pachinko machines here, because laws, etc...In that time(~1982 or 1983) I ask her if I could stay with the ball and, so I 've kept with me until today. During the 90's I use this ball to creat an unique kind of artificial/natural harmonic technic on musical instrument. But only in 2002 I was reading about japan, because i always have some interest in japanese culture, tokusatso, etc..., and on the book talked about machines that uses some ball(~11 mm) to play in machine calls pachinko. Until that time I've never heard about pachinko. So since that time I try to learn about this kind of game, bought some pachinko toys and balls with different katakana or kanji words and "stars". I know that can be different kind of "victory" when play in pachinko parlor.

I think I was wrong about one thing. A friend talk to me that the kind of game that I 've talked above, calls "smart ball game". It looks like a pachinko but its bigger.
