Default $40 Nishijin..need help couple of pics w/qstns pls

First fof all, thanks for those that can help.

I am wondering if anyone can shed any light on this model we picked up at a flea market over the weekend.

    1) am i correct that this is a vintage A

    2) are there any missing parts..not sure what the metal plate is for in the bottom left corner

    3) How many balls to get for it? my wife says a thousand but that sounds WAY too much. Who do you recommend that I do business with and should they be new or orginal balls? Color ? chrome/ gold??

    4) can i mount this game within an outer frame that I can mount to the wall in my billiard room and will it work properly --access wise?

anything else would be appreciated..we have been searching the site and have seen close ones, but not quite the same.

    Thanks! bc3

    1) am i correct that this is a vintage A ----- yes its a Model "A"

    2) are there any missing parts..not sure what the metal plate is for in the bottom left corner-- looks to be complete... hard to tell from Norcal but seems to all be there.. i think the plate your refering to is for a ball cup.. i have never found a ball cup that will sit in that tray right.. but thats wherre the overflow balls will fall.. cut a tuperwear style container to sit there and catch balls..

    3) How many balls to get for it? my wife says a thousand but that sounds WAY too much. Who do you recommend that I do business with and should they be new or orginal balls? Color ? chrome/ gold??--- chrome balls are considered original... and for that machine 700 to 800 will last forever.. u can play it with as few as 2 or 3 hundred

    4) can i mount this game within an outer frame that I can mount to the wall in my billiard room and will it work properly --access wise?-- yes u can check out the cabinet section for lots of ideas on this

    looks complete to me, too.

that metal plate held some kind of ball receptacle, like mopar said

300 balls should be plenty. I bought from goldenstatetraders and stopexpress on ebay. with shipping it's been close to 4 cents a ball recently.

but, since the pachinko habit is addicting, you might want to buy 1,000 so you'll have enough for your next two machines

p.s. be sure to close the ball empty switch on the lower right. there are two tabs that you pinch together... so the balls don't come flowing out the bottom.

    Welcome

    Not bad for $40.

Lots of great ideas for cabnets in this site. For wall hanging I like the french cleat system.

    Welcome to PachiTalk!!

As it is a Vintage Machine you should be able to get by with just a few hundred, 300 or so

But if you are thinking of rescuing more machines, and especially moderns, you would be best to buy at least 1,000 or 1,500

There are some great ideas for Cabinets in our Cabinet section, some are very simple and some are very ingenious, lots of inspiration whichever way you choose to go

Welcome. You can get lots of ideas here. I made a frame and mounted it to a wall in my gameroom, it's a great addition. You can get some ideas from my profile page under albums.

for wall mounting, I like the cabinet with the hopper and little door at the bottom, funnel on top to reload. there's a guy on ebay that sells them, or you could make one if you're handy. I had the seller add feet, so mine sit on tables.

if I did hang it on the wall, I would use the french cleat method, too, then you can unhang it pretty easily.

you access the machine release on the right side through the big hole to swing the machine open for maintenance. if you use this design, you don't need to open it for ball refills.

    ebay cabinet vendor

this was the thread, but it looks like the vendor isn't on ebay right now. if you want, I can send you his email. just PM me.

    TTC were your pics 'attachments'??

If so, you may still be able to find them here

If you go to your User CP and scroll down the left column

under the heading 'Miscellaneous' i think, click on attachments

that should have all your pic attachments in there

that is a nice machine.i would go on ebay and get the original pachinko balls,as others have suggested.i would get 500 balls, but get more if you are planning to get more machines, which i am sure you will.

Does anyone have a recommendation for vendor either here or on ebay?

I dont want to end up with a bad deal or, as someone said, slingshot balls. Are "vintage" balls chrome, stainless or some other metal?

I would rather go on the recommendation for someone honest, reputable and a reasonable price.

    Thanks! Bob
