well, you better check out the cost of living before you think about Arlington. and the traffic is totally f-ed up.

In Arlington, VA back in 1964-65 3 of us army guys rented a duplex furnished for 135.00 a month split 3 ways

and we either drove down columbia pike and parked at fort myers south post or took the bus right to the pentegon to work

just about everyone in our neighborhood worked for uncle sam
