This is the first summer that we haven't had our evac suitcases by the front door. Rains have kept the fires to a minimum, although the month of June was little touch and go.

Hello All,
thanks for the concern but myself and family are all safe and out of harms way..
been on vacation the last 2 weeks so my access to PT has been limited to what i could view on my mobile.
the city is a mess there is ash floating around everywhere, there are a lot of people who have been affected. and the fires are still burning. the smell of smoke is everywhere..
there is a very somber mood in the city. hopefully the winds will die down and the fires can be controlled soonest possible
fingers crossed.!

reading the news and looking at the pics from the fires there remind me of may 18 1980 eruption of Mt st Helens .. the day turned to night it was the most errie thing i have ever seen
