Default My Nishijin model B Restore

    Hello All

As I alluded to in my first post that I have been a member for several months, but never posted before and promised pictures of my pachinko. After reading all about restoring/cleaning vintage pachinko machines, I decided to rescue mine from the basement. I have a Nishijin model B that I bought in the late 70’s and it has been in the basement for the last 10 years. After finding PachiTalk and reading all of the stories of machine restoration, it motivated me to get mine out and fix it up. As you can see from the photos it is all done. Everything on the machine is original from when I got it, even the glass in the door and it all cleaned up pretty good. This is my first machine restore and was a lot of fun. With all of the great information on PachiTalk, I felt confident enough to total strip the machine down and give it a good cleaning. Not much to repair luckily, just a few minor cracks in the plastic covers on the back. For someone new doing they first machine I would suggest taking a lot of pictures of all the parts and sub-assemblies before you take them apart. Believe me this helps in the reassemble. As far as the rest of the cleaning, I just followed the advice found here. I am now working on building a cabinet for my pachinko. It will be similar to the one Mopar (thanks) built, but with a few modifications. Pictures will follow when complete.

Can anybody tell me what the symbols at the bottom of the center jackpot translate to?

Thanks to everyone for the advice and welcomes.

    Very nice looking Vintage,

    Sparkly clean front and back!!

It's very satisfying to be able to restore your own machine, I'm sure it makes you appreciate playing them more too...

Don't have a second machine yet for restore. I think I will wait and get the cabinet done first. Then maybe start looking around to see what I can find locally. Would love to get a modern maybe Star Wars or Indiana Jones, but a little over budget right now.

I really like my Indiana Jones if you can afford all of the balls it will take to keep it going. They sell you four hundred with the machine when you need about 4000.
