Default Help please identifying vintage Maruhon pachinko?

I found a vintage Maruhon pachinko machine at Senior Center rummage sale today. I know next to nothing about them, so I went Google-searching to find somebody who does. Would any of you be so kind as to help me?

It is open-backed. Something on the back says 'BESTA'. I'm not entirely sure how it's supposed to attach to a wall or cabinet. It is set into a solid-wood and plywood frame, held together with a combination of nails and dovetails. I can't even BEGIN to date it, and the only number I can read is '206' in the right-hand oval in the picture of labels.

It came with a few of the steel balls, enough for me to see that you can in fact use the flipper and send them plinking down through the pins.

The old gentlemen who sold it do me didn't even know what it was called. Funnily enough, the old ladies at the checkout table did.

    Thank you in advance,

    *cough*

Well, it WAS a rummage sale. Last half hour of the 3-day sale. 50% off.

    I probably shouldn't say.

looks like your expiration date is 12/1970, so maybe made around 1967

Not sure they have names, but I'd go for CF Flower for yours

    No pic of the back?

Here are some back pictures. The hopper thing on the top appears to have been broken at the corners years ago, and 'fixed' with fiberglass-enforced strapping tape. It is functional, but not pretty. Everything else looks like it's probably there and in one piece.

    Done and done!

Don't take this the wrong way, but that's one of the cleanest backsides I've seen in a while

$15. And was uncertain about THAT. As I said, I don't know much about these machines except I played a little bit on one my uncle had when I was a kid.

Compirate got u a date(dont have a clue how hea was able to read that)
As for the open back im sure u see now thats how thay all are..
if u check out the Pachinko Cabinet section u can see lots of fine ideas from the simple to the elaborate for a frame..
When u start looking for balls keep in mind we have our own Auctino site.. and allot of prid in customer service.. u might find a little better deal on e-bay but make sure u get nice clean balls.. i would think 500 to 1000 will make your machine work verry nice... more is always better...

if u have any other questions u have found the best site on the net to ask them

    good luck to ya

    great find!

that machine is definitely a keeper. you got very lucky for your first machine.

except for the tray, it looks super clean. and, as you start looking at machines on ebay, craiglist and here at pachitalk, you will find that that machine is pretty unusual. notice how the back parts are mostly made of metal? that was an earlier machine than most of the vintages on the market.

    welcome to pachitalk!!
