Found a Babel Pachislo machine! Info needed

Hi all,

Just found a local Babel machine. Their starting price is $275. What's a fair number for this one if it's clean and all there?

Couple of other questions...

Can a volume control be added to this model? I'm assuming this will be abnoxiously loud on the quietest setting. Can the auto-stop chip/mod be added to this model? Thanks!

The price is a little high for my tastes. Yes you can add volume controls to that machine. I had one & added volume controls with no problems. These are the ones I use.

First Babel is a great machine.

I've been able to pick up two Babels in the last couple of weeks and both were negotiated to below $100.00

One needed a belly light bulb and four wedge bulbs
but had @900 tokens The other just a lot of cleaning and much less tokens.

I would say for that kind of scratch $225 I'd be looking at something a little more contemporary


There's a very interesting seller right now on ebay with very nice machines. Buy it now $125 or best offer!.(90.00 s/h) I couldn't resists and was very happy with purchase.

Is Babel worth what the guy is asking, sure it is. But for the same price there are better choices. Just my opinion

hi all i just got a babel too and i can;t find the volume control switch at all please help!!!

Trace one of the sets of speaker wires back to the plug side. most of the time this is the sound board or very near the board. then look around for the 3 position switch. (loud/louder/ear bleeding). You will mostly have to install volume controls on each speaker. (do NOT unplug the speakers, not good for the amp).

Hey just out of curiosity, can an auto-stop chip be installed on this machine?

Here's the latest on the Babel machine...they don't have any keys for it...they claim it didn't have any when they bought it, but obviously they must be able to get into it. Does this machine have an option of leaving it unlocked to access the inside?

Also, if I don't have the keys, will I not be able to change odds, turn off alarms, etc?

Can keys be purchased for this machine?

i just bought a babel you can leave door ajar and it will still work but you have to have key to change odds and to reset it

I agree with others that put the value somewhere in the $100 or so range but if they don't have key(s) for it I wouldn't even go that high. IMHO your $275 would be way better spent with Gaku or with Rita at Blue Hotaru. Not only will you get to pick your game, but the keys will be there and it will be cleaned up and shipped beautifully. Babel's nice but not a 250+ machine and you need keys. just my 2 cents.

oh by the way the babel i just bought was for 100.00 it is nice but i wouldn;t go higher

Try john @ Stealth, you can tell him I sent you. I have buy a bunch from him. You may need to buy the lock & key, as some locks have been changed & the original keys will not work.
