30 Pai to Standard Token

I just purchased a 2003 AbiliT/Takasago pachislo titled "Gurukun"
It has the same cabinet as Death Valley.
Upon recieving it I was a bit dissapointed to find a bag of 30 Pai tokens packed in.
So now I have 29 pachis that take standard tokens (of which I have 10,000-12,000 readily on hand)...
and 1 that only accepts the larger (50 cent size) 30 Pai tokens (of which I only have 250 & hear their hard to come by)

Anyway seeing as how it's the same style as my Death Valley.
And seeing as how my Death Valley accepts standard tokens.
I was hoping a quick fix would be to swap out the hopper & coin mech from a similar (preferable Death Valley) scrapped machine.
I contacted Jon at Stealth & he thinks he may have the parts, but I need to email pix of both machines to be sure they'll work.

Would any of you Pachi-Gurus happen to know if this is the proper path to travel in order to convert to a standard token size...
or are my attempts to be riddled with anguish?

I don't have alot of time ATM, so I'll post pix of the parts in question sometime this weekend.

I would think that you would only have to replace the token acceptor and the hopper or just the wheel in the bottom of it..

I have 2 30 pai pachislos they are more manly tokens

A conversion should work with a new coin mech and hopper or hopper guts. I would think it would be easy as long as the new coin mech has the same connectors as the old. you might even be able to tweek the coin mech you have now to take the smaller tokens.

Turns out the Diceman knows a thing or two bout a thing or two.

After setting my new Guru & the DV side by side I was happy to see that pretty much every part the two share are similar.
The coins mechs are identical with only one small difference...
There's a small wheel that keeps the coin on the track when dropped in the accepter.
On the 30 Pai mech this wheel is a bit smaller (so the larger coin will fit thru)
Technically, the only thing I would need to do is to replace the smaller wheel with the larger wheel from a standard mechanism.
However... I've only rebuilt the inside of one slot before (Rio) and It's been 3 years since,
so I'd feel safer just swapping the entire mech out with the 3 screws that hold them in.

The hoppers are identical as well.
The only difference is the wheel at the bottom has larger coin slots for the 30 Pai tokens.
Looks like 4 screws to remove the plastic bin & 4 more to extract the slotted piece at the bottom.

Now for the hard part.
Locating the parts...
I'll be sending the pix that I've included at the bottom of this post to Jon at Stealth.
Hopefully he will have what I need.

The other piece I need is the speed loader/coin accepter.
The one on my Gurukun had some minor rust when I recieved it & the slot is "30 Pai" size.

If anyone has info on where I could find these parts, please post here.
I'll wrap up the thread with my results, so if I haven't posted results... then I still need the parts.

Conversion completed!

~2 screws & 1 connector on the coin mechs
~2 screws in the coin accepters
~1 pre-owned 25 pai hopper, switched out from a scrapped Death Valley

We played for 20 minutes without error
