California Extreme | An arcade game and pinball celebration

anyone been to this? it's this coming weekend in santa clara.

the machines are supposed to all be on free play, so you can play all you want.

i'm thinking of going. any other pachitalkers want to plan an outing?

wow. there's a great turnout here at the arcade expo. lots of old and new machines to play, and lots to remind me of college years. great fun!!

played the ultra pin and multi pin but wasn't that impressed. they cost 5K, and for that money, I figure I could have a few used real ones, right? the graphics weren't bad, but it's not the same not having the feedback. maybe they need to incorporate a buzzer and thumper, to add back some mechanical feel to it.

back home now. TTC is still playing. I'm still recovering from piggy flu, so 4 hours on my feet was enough. got to play lots of old games and even got car sick playing the racing ones.

p.s. my wife said to me when I was leaving today "now remember, if you buy a pinball machine, it's going to salinas..." at least she accepts my addiction now...

I finally got back after playing my Free Play Heart out till 12:30 pm pst . Pins , Video games and even a pedal powered Addams Family Pinball .

I gave 2 of my Glowing Orbs to the people who orginized the shinding and dropped pachitalk.com to anyone who asked about the glowing orb attached to my belt


I got to talk with one of the Gods of Stern pinball Steve ( I don't know his last name ) who designed Spiderman 3 , Star Trek and such Tables

also, there is a pachinko expo. in san rafael, CA (marin county, other side of golden gate bridge) on october 2,3,4. I think it's pacific pinball. it's sponsored by the pinball museum on alameda, ca. if any pachitalkers are going, let me know and we'll meet up!
