    Default My first pin?

I'm looking at getting my first pinball machine. I think I just missed out on a $600 Terminator 2 Craigs list find (gutted) so looking I'm for something else.

I seem to be drawn to the horror themed pinballs. Looking at a Tales From The Crypt or Bram Stokers Dracula. Does anyone own/played these machines? Any recommendations on which one to go for?

Indeed I have. They both seem to be rated highly. Of course I want both but only got room for 1 in the house and in the wallet.

    I know the feeling...

I started off wondering how I could manage to get one into my home,

then a few weeks later, I was shuffling furniture about in the dining room to fit the next one in

I have to look at ebay with my eyes closed for now, I'm worried I may end up buying another, quite accidentally of course

go for the dracula the myst multiball never fails to amaze when a locked ball walks across a playfield seemingly unaided also not the easyest pin to play so you wont get bord fast in the home enviroment

the machine rocks compaired to tales from the crypt

if your into horror then look towards one of the elvira machines or of corse the cuveted twiliht zone

as for room for only one ha ha ha ha Liza said that and now there are 2 in the lounge with room for a third and one in the games room

saving for eaither of the pinball 2000 machines got to have one

I've heard good things about the Dracula pin. I've never played it myself. As for the others mentioned on this thread...I always loved Elvira and the Party Monsters.

Monster Bash and Creature from the Black Lagoon are also highly rated. I'm not sure if you would consider them horror. They both involve monsters but are pretty lighthearted.

Monster Bash would be at the top of my list as I'm a big fan of Universal Monsters. I even customized one of my Vespa scooters with a Frankenstein theme but the price is a little high for one of those.

I think I've decided to go for the Dracula. Now to find one at a good price.

I heard a rumour that Stern is working on a Munsters pinball, I am sure it won't be as good as Monster Bash, but all the same could be a good theme.

So I've found a Dracula pin in my price range but I'm confused about it having and additional blue button next to the right flipper button. I asked the seller about it and his response was some machines have extra flippers but I thought this machine only had the 2 at the bottom.

I'm being a bit cautious as it would be bought un seen as it's not local.

Any Idea what's going on hear?

It's possible it's been modified, I know a lot of pinball fans like to 'tinker' with their pins

I would ask for lots of pics and especially close ups of the playfield, so you can see if any 'mods' have been made to it

Also if you google, you may be able to find an Owners Group for Dracula, I'm sure they have them for lots of the popular titles, that may be a way of investigating this further

I took a look at the Draculas for sale on ebay. Every one that included a picture did not show that extra button. I think I would wait for the next one to come along.

as others have said, that machine could have been modded.i just wonder if someone may have added magnasave to that machine.that could be a reason for the second flipper button.black knight had that.speaking of bk,if anyone here has one they would like to sell, let me know.

Black Knight is OK, More of a Collectors item. I like Black Knight 2000 Better, also love the Swords of Fury Game. Best Pin in My Opinion is Addams Family. I have the Body of one here and cant wait til the day I can make an Addams Family Video Pinball out of it. I haven't played Dracula before but have played Tales from the Crypt and did like it.
