Default Pachinko machines, prices, ebay, vendors...

I've not been window-shopping for Pachinko's for about 5 years, but back when I bought mine, there were LOADS on Ebay. Now it seems like the market has dried up, say it ain't so...

At the time there were a few premium machines people were paying big bucks for, but a lot of modern pachinkos could be had for <$100 + 60 or so shipping... I got all of mine for those prices. Including a pink panther which I see on slot-pachinko for twice as much now...

In fact, a lot of the prices on slot-pachinko and bluehotaru are more than I remembered.

Am I mistaken? Wrong season? Crazy inflation? Crazy poster?

Oh, and if anyone could suggest some vendors, I'd appreciate it.

Sorry, the days of the $60 modern pachinko are long gone!!

It was a nice year or two...Just be glad you could get a few while they were that cheap!!

I guess I could explain a little more for those that weren't around..When I bought my first in 05 most seemed to be $150-$250+ I'd guess...and there was a fair selection..Then Samurai Slots or however they spelled it came along...I believe Hero ran things here but there were people in japan that really ran things...(correct me if I'm wrong ) anyway, they brought in tons of new stuff tons and tons...and the more they brought in the lower prices got..you could get some of the newest stuff for as low as $40!!

Well those low prices made all the other dealers lower their prices...all was great for the pachi buyer!! But the low low prices was probably the reason we lost a few dealers..

Then because of not making much money with such low prices (I assume??), Samurai stopped shipping over new machines...so the supply dried up...and the dealers that were left could raise their prices again...(early 07 I think??)

There, hope that explained some stuff..

In the 3 years I've been at PT, I've never seen the bargain prices over here in England, that you lucky US people have had

And now there are even less options left for Pachinko buying over here these days

Tis a sad fact, but I'm probably going to have to get my Pachinko fix direct from Japan in the future

apart from the odd one or two older models from mostly private sellers on eBay

What about a group buy organised out of UK. The shipping then from UK to Europe seems payable?

i wonder how cheap pachi's could be obtained directly from japan?i mean,i have seen pictures of large piles of pachinkos laying on the sidewalk in front of parlors waiting for the garbage truck to come take them away.and the warehouses over there supposedly busting at the seams they are so full of them. they can't be worth much in japan.they might even be willing to pay someone to haul them away.i see a possible money making venture for someone in the uk.something like slot-pachinko here in the us.i would think that if one shipped a container full of them,it would be reasonable .

There's an auction house that is currently trying to sell a mid 1970's Nishijin B model..."Baseball Theme" for $99 + $75 S&H. The only problem is that the head of the baseball player in the centerpiece is broken off and missing.

This machine has been on a "Buy it Now" for $475 + S&H for what seems like a year. I keep running across it, knowing it will never sell for that price. Now that they've decided to "Move it", they've dropped the price to $99...If they really want to move it, they'll start with a opening bid of $29.99 + $50 S&H. They might actually get some action...I've got it on my watch list...not because I want it, but because I'm just curious if they are ever going to sell it.

    It IS "Rare" ya' know.
I'm not addicted to Pachinkos. I can quit at any time. Did I tell you about the three machines that I have on the way?

I honestly don't believe that they did this, but the auction for the Vintage Nishijin Baseball Pachinko per my previous post ended without a buyer at $99. So after a year or so with a Buy it Now at $495 and no buyers, and an expired listing with an opening bid of $99 with no buyers...what do they do?

Of course, relist it for $495 + $75 S&H. Unbelievable. For crying out loud, the Baseball Player's head is MISSING. Assuming that they keep having to pay relisting fees, what in the hell are they smoking?

that would be the only chance they would have to sell it at that price.
