    Default Side Handles for Lifting

One of my machines is missing the little plastic side handles that you use for picking the thing up. I would like to find replacements for it, as I think not having it there just allows more dust to get into the machine. Does anyone know where I can get these, or something close to them that will work?

As far as I can tell, not all manufacturers use these. About half of my machines don't have them, and looked like they never did. So, rather than "missing," there's a good chance they were never there.

I wouldn't worry about dust. There's enough vent hole on these machines that the amount of extra dust that makes it in through the handle holes will be negligible.

I have used these handles when I don't have any handles or all I have are slots- Just cut the hole to fit , mount them and "ta-da" Easy to hold handles that retract.

Cost- $12.70 for a pair. Holds 75lbs per handle.

I jsut grab them by the bottom myself. The weight is distributed better that way anyway.

Come on, you mean to tell me you don't take a few machines with you when you visit friends, travel, go to work, go to the mall, etc....?

I have to move them around every week or so. This way my wife doesn't notice when there's a new one added into the mix.

You all laugh. .. I just pulled my back out lifting one into a car for an old lady. Spent 3 days in the prone position doped up on muscle relaxers. Then again, I ain't as young anymore.

I need handles because once a month or more I bring about 5-6 machines into local retirement homes and have the folks spend a few hours pretending they are in Vegas. They love the machines and I enjoy chatting with the old folks. It's great to see them excited when they hit the Big "B". :-)

Like your Idea , How are you going about it, I have some machines coming and could do that in this area - How many do you take and how long do you stay and the days and times
    Thanks Don

    Thanks-

If any of you all really want to feel loved...try doing this once. The elderly really appreciate the change in pace. They love the lights, sound (got to turn it down way low though) and action of the machines.

Only one downside.. you have to pry some of them off the machines to allow others their turn to play. Man- it can worse than kindergarten play time !!

Need to talk to the community social director/manager first to get their blessing. Some places have special rules- e.g. no $$, no strobe lights, no Sundays, etc

I bring in 6-8 machines and place them on cafeteria tables. 3 by 3 or 4by4. I only do this on Saturday afternoons from after dinner until about 8:00. 2-3 hours.

Try it! Let me know how it goes.

What a great idea. Those poor folks are so lonely. I can't wait to go give this a try (I need more machines though!).

Thanks for the tip in helping others.
