The new owner of the cabinent would like to put a litlle input in. I would like to use a tray at the bottom because a draw to take in and out seems like it would be a pain and i already have a nice tray. Let me know what you think. Besides this Indiana Jones machine when it is in the fever mode must drop around 2000 balls quickly. I have not been able to see how many because I cannot load them fast enough for the payout. Let me know what the construction foreman is going to do . Lt Teddy

    Dear Lieutenant Teddy

I think what your asking is two different things...

if u look at the cabinet u can see the 6 inch self.. that is a shelf so u can place a basket to collect your winnings from the lower win tray...

the drawer will be to collect the house (losing balls) winnings into.. by making it a drawer u will be able to (hopfully) quickly pull the drawer and refill the top...

    make sense???

not really the drawer would slow down the refill time while a basket would be much quicker. I have hit the fever mode back to back and have yet to see what happens when i hit the jackpot. All i need is a place for the balls to fall into a tray that I can quickly remove and dump in the top.

The general contractor looks like he is doing an excellent job. Now if he just gets it done on time and delivers it on Saturday

Well it is Saturday and I have been waiting since five oclock for the delivery. Have not seen a new pictures so am wondering if the construction foreman is being lazy.Maybe he is worried about getting paid but no worry, no show , no pay.

I like that you put a shelf under the pachi. mine doesn't have that, so i can't put a cup under the ball return. :-(
People end up spilling balls all the time when they push the wrong button.

just wanted to share some of the finishing pictures of the case im building

the frist pics are of the case assembled but not finished sanded or finishsd

the case from the fron and a pic of the drawer to catch the losing balls from the back side.. u can see two handles on the drawer to help in lifting and moving the drawer when refilling the top.

the last pic is of the drop tube from the upper hopper into the upper tray.. it overflowed right off the get go so i added the blocl of wood with a hole driied into it.. that still over flowed the upper tray.. so a trip to home depot and a 1 inch pvc coupler was instaled to alow some adjustment in case the next machine is taller or shorter.. u should also be able to see a slot to insert in a stopper to stop the upper tray from draing (if need be)

I see that you built the "invisible pachinko machine" before Eddie did.

    Nice work!

these are some shots of the finished case

sanded down with 80 grit sandpaper then 120,220, and finished with 320 grit

wiped down with tack cloth and sprayed with a clear laquer.. sanded inbetween each coat with 320 and recoated 5 or 6 times... im a fan of the clear laquer cause with time the wood will take on some natural yellow tones and the groth rings will darken..

one thing i did different then almost every case i have see befor is made the ramps on the upper hopper very soft angled.. there is only 3/4 of an inch of rise on each side.. (i like the lower angle for looks)

    DSCF3651 - Copy (2).jpg DSCF3652 - Copy.jpg DSCF3653 - Copy.jpg DSCF3653 - Copy (2).jpg

one more set of pictures to go on the coming days.. the case in its final home (800 miles to the north) with indiana jones instaled..

i am looking forward to seing the case with its 5000 balls instaled

thanks for looking and i hope u all can use some of my ideas on your own cases
