ok now i have rough cut some lumber and looking for input

(sorry for u over the pond peeps dont have a metric tape)

the over all height is going to be 44 inches
    10 3/4 inch deep

the top 4 inches will be a ball bin with a plexi glass front (so u know how meany balls are left)

the hole for the pachi is going to be 32 5/16 inch high
and 20 7/8 inch wide (to accomodate my largest machine)

the board for the bottom (under the pachi) will stick out 6 inches to create a shelf to hold a basket to catch winning balls dumped out the lower tray

the lower 5 1/2 inches will be used as either a drawer or just a catch basin with a small door opening out the front to hold the losing ball that would normaly be losers?? kinda leaning twards a drawer that i can remove and dump the entire drawer back in the top

    first does it make sense
    second any suggestions??

nothing to take pics of just yet.. its just a pile of lumber right now

Most of it seems to make sense in my head

Just one question..you said it would be 10 3/4" deep..but you said that you got 10" boards..so I assumed that meant you got 1x10s which as 3/4" x 9 1/4" so just trying to figure out how deep it really is..or does the 10 3/4" include the 6" shelf, making most of the cabinet 4 3/4"?? just wondering..

Otherwise I think it makes sense..

Less talk and more action. I wanted it delivered yesterday. A little worried about the extra space left in the cabinet. What are we going to use to fill that with. Dad

there might be a slight gap on each side..

as stated in other posts that if it is to tight the machines will not even fit into the cabinet at all..

a small 1/8 to 3/16 inch gap shouldn't be noticed..

im hoping that since im at work right now this talk is accecptable

the first paint tray cabinet I made I forgot to allow for the almost 4 inches I was lifting the pachinko up.

    my sides weren't long enough.

Doc built his first one to close to actual size and couldn't fit his pachinko into it

You do not have to take the Whole Machine out there for a test fit. Open the door and the machine will come off of the frame at the hinges leaving you just the lighter frame to carry out.

Naturally if the transformer is secured to the frame you can either remove it or disconnect it from the Pachi and leave it on the frame. Still a heck of allot lighter.
