Found my machine brand, can't change odds

Mine is model #2, exactly the same... When i follow the steps to change the odds, I have nothing changing in the number box on the front. After turning it off, turning the key, turning it back on... Near the token input slot, there is a box that says "Hit Count" and that says 04. When I press the reset/change button, it doesn't change this number... This "hit count" box is the only one I see with a number...I hope i'm just making a stupid mistake and it's not something serious. What am I doing wrong?

not the reset change button on the front of the game. There should be a reset button inside the game some where. on the inside of the door or near the power supply are the likley spots for it.

I know, I linked a pdf that has pictures, mine is model #2. The reset button is on the power box, but it's not changing the number from 04 while the key is turned. My bad for saying reset/change, it's just the reset button, but i guess i was also calling it a change button, but the pictures are in the pdf i linked to.

its possible the button could bad or some how the "4" is getting locked in before you can change it. make sure the spin lever is working properly and your not hitting it by mistake before setting the odds. Thats all I can think of right now.

I'll try that, but i know the spin lever works... hmm, i'll give it a try and post pics.

Could be the reset key switch is worn or something. Maybe it's not in reset mode when the key is turned. Do the reel lights light up when you power on the machine with the key set to reset mode? do the reel lights turn on when you turn it back to play mode? If not, then Maybe the switch is dirty/worn. Hope you figure it out.

I must've been making some simple mistake (maybe hitting the joystick dealy) because when i got home from work, I took my time and did each step painstakingly slowly just to be sure, and it works! ...then the string i use to open it broke off (missing key) So... I got to learn from you kind folks about opening it with a hangar from the bottom, lucky me, i had the kind that goes down so i had to hook and pull... now it's all fixed and i love it, hit my first bonus mode after changing to skill 6 Only have 50 tokens, so i had to keep refilling the hopper and catching them when i reset before i closed it, lol, so much fun. Can't wait to get my 2000 tokens in the mail and can really enjoy it. Thank you guys so much, this is the nicest forum i've ever stumbled upon, and i've stumbled plenty! I found other boards while looking for information, but Pachitalk.com , clearly #1

Someone recommended that i get near 2000 tokens for my machine, but now that I have it, it seems excessive. Not that I don't plan on getting more, but what is a more accurate number, i figure like 1200?

With the machines I have, The Big bonus will pay out about 500-600 coins. That seems to be enough for me.

500 in the hopper and 500 to play. 1000 to 1200 is about right but its always better to have more then less.
